Looking for some help here please. I am trying to build a bankroll out of my measly $50 deposit. Is it easier to win at the sit-n-gos or the ring games? I enjoy the sit-n-gos online and with my buddies but I would like to build my bankroll by playing tight-aggresive poker.

SnGs are a great bankroll builder as long as you know what you're doing. I suggest you play the $1 5 table SnGs if you're on Stars, try and run your deposit up to $100 or so, then hit the $5 1 or 2 table SnGs for a bit.

Really? I actually find it easier to be picky and build a small bankroll at low stake ring games than at the SnG's, which have always been less of a money-maker for me.

I'm curious, why do you think it's the opposite for you?

I believe it depends on your style of play. If you're tight numbers type player, the "Limit" ring games would probably be best. If you're more of a situation and people type player then the SNGs would probably be best. I believe that the "No limit" ring games are the highest risk. You can make a lot on a table very quickly, but you can lose a lot quickly also.

Fair enough. I agree that in a no limit ring game, your money can go quite quickly. At least in a SNG, you get a self-contained playing experience. And of course, the limit games are much more quantifiable with respect to risk.

I agree with that. You can play extremely more tight-aggressively at a ring game where you can see 5% of hands if you want to, versus a tournament where winning requires loosening up a bit at points if you want to defend your ever-increasing blinds!

it's easier to build bankroll on the ring game.
But it's also easy to lose all your money.

Sit'n'go it is the safe mode.

But first: Learn poker!

Guess I have to be different I'd rather play low buck SNG's. Just my preference. Have built a nice bankroll to enter higher buy-ins.

Actually, I've found that since I've moved up from the $1-2 SnG's to the $5 SnG's, I'm able to win or place much more consistently, and it's really helped the bankroll.

What stats should I be looking for to make a table a GOOD table? avg pot? players seeing the flop? hands per hour?

How many BB per hour should I target? I know it should be as high as possible but how many make a good session?
