Hi

I want to warn all poker players about Pokerroom's reload bonus.

On May 18th I deposited $200 with the promise of a 30% ($60) reload bonus if I cleared 600 points. I cleared the 600 points on May 30th (2 days ago) but the $60 -- which is supposed to be deposited automatically -- never showed up in my account.

An honest mistake? Perhaps. But Pokerroom has ignored all my e-mails asking about the matter.

So, until further notice, beware of Pokerroom. You can't play at the site you can't trust.

Hi,

I am so sorry to hear that you have had problems with the reload bonus. I checked your account and spoke with our Customer Loyalty Team and your account has now received the $60 bonus.

I checked this myself and saw that you had cleared the points, but this had not automatically paid out. Yesterday we had maintenance at PokerRoom.com as our developers carried out an entire system upgrade.

This would also explain why our Support team had been unable to answer you as yet.

Once again, please accept our apologies and good luck at the tables!

Best Regards,
Carly

Odd sequence of events. A new member posts a complaint about pokerroom.com (without highlighting on the Thread title it was about Pokerroom), and within 2 hours we have another new member - someone from Pokerroom.com with a reply. That's an extraordinary coincidence that they would register within 2 hours of the first pokerroom complaint I can recall seeing in my year-plus on site. I dont believe in extraordinary coincidences, so I wonder what's going on?

I think you're supposed to say that when someone's been proved WRONG, not when they've been proved RIGHT.

Rob, Henry contacted me via email so I told him to post here and I'd get my Pokerroom rep on it.

Oh, what an annoyingly simple reply - I thought we were being spied on by the big poker sites!

Is this site supposed to be some "Watchdog" type site? - I wonder whether Henry will ever post again to thank you?!

Who knows, but I'd hope he would. I'm happy to help people out with their problems at poker rooms, I have contacts at most of them and the majority of the problems are really simple to resolve once you find the right person.

Nope, Rob you're WRONG, Tim is correct in using this saying in this situation. Henry had badmouthed Pokerroom in a sense, telling people to "beware" Pokerroom. As he proven wrong by Carly at Pokerrom, he indeed technically was proven wrong. Any higher-ed English textbook wll support my statement!

The fact it sounded like nothing would have happened if the problem wasn't brought to Nick's attention. I'm glad that I belong to a community that actually has some pull and the problems that will come up from time to time can be solved if you know the right people.
It's too bad Chuck's bad beat bonus was never resolved by Titan, afterall Titan is our unofficial (or is it actually official??) 'flagship' site.

Thank you Nick for getting in touch with your contact at the site and giving another reason (no like I needed one) why this community is such a great place to be a part of.

He said to beware Pokerroom "until further notice". Well now we have our further notice, with Carly explaining. Hell, he even said: "An honest mistake? Perhaps. But Pokerroom has ignored all my e-mails asking about the matter."

He wasn't proven wrong. He said he didn't get his reload bonus, and Carly verified that he didn't. He said his e-mails weren't responded to and Carly verified that they hadn't been. Nothing he said was overblown or anything short of well-thought out, just a word of caution. Excuse a guy for being right about his claims and giving a cautious warning to others in case something may have been going on. How dare he.

I have a problem Nick... for some reason I can't win every hand that I play. Don't know why either, cause my cards are always soooooted. What gives?

Thanks, I thought I was going mad!

It seems odd that a company who's entire business is online would "miss" a bonus payment "by mistake". I wonder if they have ever double paid a bonus "by mistake". It's similar to the bad beat bonuses and Titan's 5 Sit n Go in a row bonus - they must have the systems to pay these automatically, so why do players need to claim them manually? (I think we all know the answer to that!).

As an off-topic aside, anyone else noted that all of the Poker sites reps have female names? Is it because you are less likely to kick off to a Carly, then you are to a Roger or a Mohammed?

Not exactly the same situation, but there was a bug on Party a few months back that essentially allowed anyone who knew about it free money (I forget the details). WPEX also for the first week or two of their 100% rakeback were logging the rake for SnGs as a credit upon registration, meaning that people could register-deregister-register-etc and get $.

There are more, but I can't be arsed to think.

UltimateBet had a similar problem... a few people found a bug where they could basically earn unlimited amounts of money out of a specific set of headsup sngs. They got like $100,000 oout of it until UB discovered the bug and confiscated all their money :D
