I am not sure how these sites work with real money here in the states. Haven't played online in years.

Full tilt converted my money to points. I quit playing. Are we legally playing for real money? I haven't made a deposit for that reasons. I can't even remember my logins for the old sites I use to play on.

Really, I am not always this clueless.

Most sites will distinguish between play money and playing for real money and many have both. If you are looking to play for real money and are in the states Americas Cardroom is really the only place to play in my opinion. There are others but they offer the best overall experience and they as many allow you to play for real and fake money. Hope this helps :)

ignition IMO is totally acceptable. It's the only place I've ever had the opportunity to cash a 3000$ session and receive my money . But it's the only place I've ever cashed out that much from either

I agree, and the only thing I would add is that it also depends on what state you are in. For example, NJ and NV both allow online poker for real money on sites like pokerstars, partypoker, and 888 poker. The pool of players is still kind of small though since, again, it is just NJ and NV. So, maybe Americas Cardroom would still be better.

Like the others above stated, Americas cardroom and Ignition Poker will definitely offer you the best values for the buy-ins. It's the only sites I play on for the most part being in the states. Have cashed out successfully from both without any issues.

Each state has it`s own laws about gambling so you need to be compliant with the laws of the state you play in. Full Tilt isn`t available in the states due to a settlement some years back with the Department Of Justice. Same for poker stars. As mentioned above Americas Cardroom is available. Others include Bet Online, intertops, Carbon, Ignition and a few others.

It is technically illegal, but there are a few sites who let Americans play. Bovada/ignition and americascardromm/black chip poker are probably the most popular. I believe bovada blocks players from NY for some reason. Best of luck

Online poker is NOT illegal in the U.S.
Technically it is that U.S. banks are forbidden from
processing the payments there is NO illegality for
online poker in the U.S. that is why sites like
bovada etc take u.s players because the banks
that process the payments are not in the u.s.

i wish people would stop telling people that it is
illegal to play online in the u.s that is simply not
true

So just ACR and Ignition? nowhere else? I see other sites when I google US online poker sites. Or are these two the most reliable? I currently use ACR but wouldn't mind trying a few others.
