Well I signed up for rakeback last week and was wondering about money that showed up in my account today.

I checked my email and it said that .40 cents had been transfered to my account, but that doesn't make sense because when I went to my rakebackpros account it says I have lifetime earnings of 0 and weekly earnings of -.04

Does anyone know why I got the .40 cents?

The rakebackpros site sometimes calculates it wrong, but Full Tilt does the payouts.

Oh, ok thanks.

I wish rakebackpros would give you more details about how much rake you paid and how much your getting.

I would have loved to have gotten 59. I'm trying to build up from 0. It's not going too well. I have one cent left in my account. haha

I would love to deposit, but it's not really an option right now.

It does get boring trying to build from nothing, but I'm going to keep trying.

Keep trying it is possible. I've built 3 bankrolls from nothing. Full Tilt and Players Only from freerolls and a $10 trade for pokerstars. All around $100 or more now with a few hundred+ cashed out from each. Not bad so far for a recreational player. Things like Take 2 and rakeback really help.

I did get up to $60-$70 before, but that was mostly from placing in CC freerolls. I can't play those again until I'm accepted back into the club.

Without the CC freeroll the best I've done was $15 and that was last week, but it's all gone now...

I think I'll have a small one going again by the end of this weekend, but who knows.

This rakeback stuff is really interesting. Can you do it for any poker room or more than one poker room? Also what is the best site to do it through? Also does anyone know if there is a way to get a cash bonus for signing up?

Long story short:

- Rakeback is available on most sites but you need to sign up for it when you create your account. In some cases (like on Full Tilt) you can get rakeback turned on for an existing account but usually only if you didn't enter a promo code when you first signed up.

- You can't get rakeback on poker stars because that's not how they roll.

- If you're signing up at a new site shop around for the best rakeback offers, most will be very similar though.

- Most sites offer some kind of first-deposit bonus, just be aware that bonuses can actually count against the amount of rakeback you receive so do your math first and know what you're signing up for.
