The VIP program is basically rakeback, as you get up to Platinum, Supernova and Supernova Elite you can use your VPPs to get money and it's just as good as Full Tilt's rakeback.

Not exactly just as good. It gets as good as FT when you get something like 200k or 300k VPPs, so it's only really nice for semi-pro grinders or better.

Also, when you're building a bankroll and moving up in stakes, the fact that you're getting the rakeback earlier than you would with FPP value makes a major difference as it allows you to move up stakes earlier.

PokerStars do not offer rakeback and do not allow affiliates to offer rakeback.

You cannot get a pokerstars rakeback account

LOL I didn't see the 'Y'

I vaguely remember reading an article that said tat pokerstars preferred their VIP points system to rakeback as they felt it made users more loyal than offering them rakeback.

Ultimately points or rakeback are simply methods of getting regulars to keep coming back and playing on the site.

Pokerstars feels that its VIP system is more effective at maintaining its user base than a rakeback option.

So nobody has a rakeback deal on Stars? I was thinking I was at a disadvantage not having one there. Can you get one from FT if you have a pre-existing account? If so, how (begging maybe)?

Some rakeback sites claim that it MAY BE POSSIBLE to convert your account. They usually have a online form for you to fill in and the answer is usually given in about a week.

EDIT: BTW, this still dosent apply to PokerStars as they do not offer rakeback!!

That is very true - their program is pretty worthless for most others like myself.

Well, for low volume players, the reload bonuses actually give a pretty decent level of rakeback, tbh. While I'm primarily a FT reg, I do play on PS to clear those. Of course that's mostly useful for non US players who can move money in and out with no extra cost using neteller.

 The upside to Pokerstars and their frequent player point (FPP) system is that they offer tourneys for points. They host $500 tourneys for 10 poker points three times a day.

Since last I checked, one cannot get rakeback on Full Tilt if they have an existing account, and did not open the account through a rakeback provider.

Good luck!

They also have a weekly $1500000 garanteed tourney for only 13500 fpps. Some people here would argue it's a much better deal... :D
