Sense taking poker seriously, maybe about a year ago, It wasn't untill now that I Joined the online world. I really love the opportunity to turn nothing into somthing. I've been frequent in many freerolls and have recently started to cash out. I took 10th yesterday out of 1226 and 11th out of 1800 last week. I just can't seem to get to that final table and when I do you'll be the first to know. Does anyone have any small roll suggestions on playing to multiply. I've gotten up to $9 from zero, but lost it getting sucked out on penny tables.

When playing the penny tables try playing LHE instead of NLHE, it may get frustrating at first, but you'll lose less.

Thank you both, won a sng last night doubled my bank roll so I'm back to $4 from Zero. I'm gonna keep doing that maybe a tourney or two cause I'm patient enough, till I can afford the 1/2 2/4 limit tables. BTW Nice Sigs guys.

American poker legend Chris "Jesus" Ferguson is about to complete a two-year challenge to go from zero dollars to $10,000. He did it by playing freerolls, then progressing to micro-games, and by utilizing patience, discipline, and strict bankroll management. You can check out his suggestions by going to the Full Tilt website and clicking on the "Tips from the Pros" section. There is also a graph showing his progress from day one.

Yeah, it's Chris Ferguson and how many people can play like him? But the challenge was about how anyone can successfully manage their bankroll and avoid bustouts, not individual poker skill. I found it very useful.

I had given up playing online poker for I had lost about 450 $, and I didn't see how this would turn a better way., and I actually couldn't afford it any longer. That was really dreadful for I loved it so much.

Luckily enough I discovered that Ferguson bankroll project. I checked out some more texts about sth like that - this is ONE reason why I joined the cardschat community - and I started my own bankroll, strictly fitting to the strategy I pointed out be adequate to my interests.

I'm so happy to be back to the online poker rooms without having to fear losing more money than I can afford. (In fact: not losing money at all.) Small progresses, but they are visible ... ;)

Don't over play your limits. Play the very lowest buy in's you can find and if you lose just keep practicing. It's when you lose at a game where you shouldn't have been in where you can only blame yourself. Honestly speaking, you going to lose. That is poker. If you don't lose your bankroll at least once your just getting lucky and not better, unless you have a really big bankroll! lol.

Unfortunatelly I can't really give you advice on how to get better, the only advice I can give you is don't give up. Keep playing penny games and instead of buying in at the recommended amount buy in at the minimum instead. That way if you lose you've lost less and have more buy in's left

Good luck at your tables and on Railbirds

Huh? No, I don't think so. Bankroll Management. There is no reason you should have to lose your entire bankroll just so you can deposit more and say you're getting better.

Yeah. What is this "reload" thing I hear so many people talking about?

Let me remind you I have "never" Deposited money online ever I'm stricktly going on "no" money so if I lose the only thing I lost is time and that time is well spent geting better at poker. I'm not stupid. I'm not gonna throw my whole roll into a tourney so i'll be ok and thanks for all the advice.:D

There used to be sites that would give you a few dollars just for signing up. Another would give you some ($5 as I recall) after you had been playing play money for a while. Perhaps there are some that do that still, but the ones where I started no longer accept U.S. players, so I am no longer with them. Those sites had 5 cent and 2 cent games, too, so you could actually use the few dollars for a while even if you didn't win. That is how I got started. After building my bankroll for a while I actually made my only deposit back in 2004 and have long since taken over 10x that deposit out.
