Do you guys think Bovada will ever quit the number thing and do screen names? Were their ever screen names on Bovada in the beginning?

Yea its pretty terrible. I'm sure the collusion is unreal at higher stakes.

They had to of known the risk of collusion was greater and I am sure they can spot it. I bet it is more common in low stakes...High stakes players will notice it and the 2 guys would be more likely to be banished. just my opinion

IMO Bovada is pretty legit and coming from a US player it makes quite a bit of difference to me that I can get paid(and have) in a timely manner. I don't mind the numbers deal and as far as theyre DoNs go I havent ran into anything Id call collusion. Seems to me that if you play tight like you need to you'll do alright.

I know that the whole anonymity thing with Bovada is the reason that quite a few of the people who have played Bovada argue that it is rigged. I won't be the first to admit that I've taken some pretty bad beats on Bovada, but I don't think it's rigged by any means because I've handed out the bad beats as well. I think the arguments that Bovada is rigged have been spurred on by a little bit of TILT factor.

But, as far as them ever going back to the screen names rather than just being represented by a number? I hope so...but that's all I have is a hope. Beyond that, I highly doubt it.

Have to agree that it's difficult to see them going back to screen names. It would have to be a pretty big failure for Bovada to essentially admit it made a mistake in implementing the anonymous poker play, and that really isn't the case thus far in my opinion (but I'm only a couple weeks in).

As to the "rigging," it's online poker. The hands come more quickly and are designed for action, so crazy bad beats are going to happen -- but as the previous poster said over a period of time you'll dish some out too.

+1

I do not mind the numbers at all. I have grown so used to it that I wish other poker sites would adopt the same method. The stat trackers, hackers, and otherwise unfair cheatin' sob's have kept me off any number of other sites due to the scandals I have heard about. So far I cannot prove Bovada wrong of anything...but I have my suspicious now and then. :icon_scra

It will be interesting to see if they keep it up after OLP opens up again in the U.S. As long as they see it as a competitive advantage, they certainly will. But if they feel they are losing players to other sites as a result, they'll change.

they will never loose plyers it will only keep growning, only thing i dont like about it is you cant realy tell if those are all actual plyers or not... but i guess you cant really tell regardless. but this is a good site no stat tracking i can get reckless on certain days play for fun and have a good time, or get into some high stake mtts and get serious.

That's still implying it's rigged.

If pokerstars comes back to the US market you can bet it all that every network will see a loss of player activity.

what do you mean or are you just posting to get your post count up, fwiw it wont help you.

I think they're saying that tracking software will still keep stats for the tourney running but to me that is trivial. A keen player will spot a player's tendencies soon enough, especially the weak mistakes.

There is temporary heads-up display software that can be used with Bovada. I think it's called Hold'em Indicator. It shows stats on players as they accumulate over a session. But they any time a player leaves the table, since it can't actually track individual players, just table action.

I mean bovada is a soft site when it comes to sit and goes and the omaha games. They do have good cashouts, but I am not a fan of the numbers and barely every play there unless get a ticket to something or have a few bucks.. Good luck with whatever you choose

Personally bovada is a good site I personally like the numbers over screen names iv had my biggest scores so far online a 300$ 7th place and 1k in smpo event . I think bovada losing the numbers would be bad for there business I recommend bovada or carbon
