I was checking out some of the obscure poker rooms on my computer today, updating their software (don't you get sick of constant updates?)

Anyways, I brought up "TripleX Poker", which is on Everleaf

On the home web page it says they use a "Quantum Photon Shuffler".

How much do you want to bet this is total B.S. and their random number generator is just the standard one that everybody uses?

There are quantum type devices to give random numbers, but those are VERY EXPENSIVE if I remember correctly, and only used by scientists and physicists. I think this is a total lie, and I'd like to try and catch a poker room in a lie, wouldn't you?

You're right - TripleX Poker aren't using a different RNG to any other room on Merge :p So yeah most likely BS or we would've heard about it from another Merge skin.

All partner cardrooms on the Everleaf Gaming Network use RNG by IDQuantique "those are VERY EXPENSIVE" - you're right Corey. We don't want to use cheap stuff to guarantee the randomness of the games.

Wow. So an actual manager from Everleaf replied!

I checked out this website.

Maybe you really are using a quantum photon shuffler after all.

I know these types of things exist because in science sometimes you guys need real random numbers. The classic example of a RNG that is connected to some real world phenomenon is to have a radioactive element next to a Geiger counter, and as it gives off little radioactive particles and the Geiger counter clicks, the timing in between those clicks is totally random.

But I don't think they're using that method - there are other things small amounts of matter can do on the quantum level that's random. This is where I get out of my area of expertise!

You can actually get a Quantum Number RNG PCI card for your PC. Pretty neat! Which one is Everleaf using? They range in price from 990 to 2230 Euros.

Take a picture of the server with the RNG PCI card in it, and then I'll be more inclined to believe you.
