Pureplay Seems to be robbing me
Awhile ago I decided to play Pureplay and sign up for a "30 day free trial" which would pop up on my screen every time I would log onto it.. I've never played on a site that does the monthly membership with no Buy-Ins real cash prizes.. Other then the chance to win a 10k WSOP
ME Seat there wasn't much money to be won on there... There $1,000 Weekly prize pools were actually like $100 or $200 prize pools with "Play money chip packages" Valued from $5-$65 Which play money on there is pointless and has no redeemable value... The fields were to large with not enough money to make up for the field size..
So I decided to cancel my membership which I was under the impression I just click "Cancel membership" like the FAQ says to do so but when you do this it gives you a number to call to cancel and you can only call on the weekdays.. of course it was Saturday...
So when Monday came around I called the "804" number which I thought was odd it was 804 since I know 804 is a Virginia
area code and they are based in California
... but W/e. So I call and I get a voice automated voice message telling me to leave my player ID and email associated with that ID... Are you kidding me you don't have any live customer support at all either online or phone?!?!? Okay so I did it and they said they will leave a confirmation email within 24 hours..
48 hours later no confirmation email so I call back and finally get my confirmation email.. Yayyy!!! So I check my card balance and the card I used was a $25 gift card well I had 1 penny in that card... Ummm?!??! No?!?!? So I didn't panic I emailed support asking if my money was still on "hold" Which right on their site it says "we only put free trials on hold and do not charge them when you cancel the money is taken off hold"
No Response from support so a couple days later I email them getting a little more frustrated but trying my best not to show it in my emails being as nice as you all know me to be.. Well 24 hoursish I get a response saying that I haven't been receiving their emails.. Thought that was odd since I certainly have been getting their promotion emails and an email telling me I haven't been receiving their emails lol...
Then Attached to it was this message (The one I didn't get apparently)
Thank you for your email. We do not have any record of your contacting us to cancel your account. I do not see any 30 day trial on your account. The only 30 day trial we have is only available to players who have connected their Facebook account to their PurePlay account
. I have requested unsubscription of your membership as you have asked. You will no longer receive any future billing from us unless of course you decide to resubscribe. You will continue to receive Player’s Club member benefits until the date of your paid membership expires before being downgraded to a free Basic membership.

The bolded part is an outrageous lie, I was offered a 30 day free trial everytime I would log on as a basic member trying it out.. In fact to put my credit card on I followed the link of the 30 day free trial and as I submitted it, it told me to cancel my account within 30 days or it will be charged the $24.99
There is no excuse for my money to not be taken off hold April 27th is the end of the 30 day trial and it's April 19th...
It's almost more of a matter of pride then my $24.99 but I would like to keep them both...
I emailed them again and haven't gotten a response... I have their support marked as safe and they are not in my junk so...
