Let's talk chips. And not chips. Let's talk the kind of chips you eat. And let's not limit ourselves to fried sliced potatoes. Let's talk gourmet food, too. Join us on a journey around Melia Caribe Tropical and discover why poker players can't stop raving about the food. Check more here #PCPC16

Big names look to damage on Day 2 of PCPC

Day 2 is on and some big names in poker are looking to do damage in the 7th annual Punta Cana Poker Classic here at Melia Caribe Tropical.

Doug Polk walks onto the tournament floor in 96th place with 52,500 in chips. Not far behind is Faraz Jaka, who enters Day 2 with $49,500.

The second place finisher in the 2015 world series of poker Main Event, Joshua Beckley has a healthy 91,700 in chips and sits in 43rd place. Beckley secured over $4.4 million for his near-title victory back in 2015 and has had a string of cashes at this year’s World Series of Poker. So how does PCPC compare to the wsop? It’s his first time at the Punta Cana Poker Classic and judging by his last two tweets, he loves it.

Humberto Brenes takes a seat with 39,000 in chips and has a long way to go if he wants to climb up from spot #122. Brenes has over $6 million in tournament winnings to his name including $2.3 million at the World Series of Poker and early $1.7 million in WPT earnings.

Things change on a dime, so there’s a good chance these numbers changed dramatically by the time you read this. Or maybe not. Keep checking back for the latest updates. We’re on the floor keeping you updated and making you feel like you’re here. Check more details HERE

Guess who’s leaving Punta Cana without any Main Event cash? Lots of players, actually. But only one man gets the claim to bubble bursting fame. Find out who it is and get the whole story at Americas Cardroom here
