im fairly new to these frequent player points on pokerstars. i just hit 700 FPPs and wondering if its a good price to buy the $11 Sunday 1/4 million Tournament ticket for 700Fpps? i guess im askin which is the better deal to get b/c there is actually quite a few things im debating.

* $11 Sunday 1/4 million ticket - 700 FPPS
* $215 Sunday Million Ticket - 13,500 FPPS
* $50 VIP reward bonus - 5,000 FPPs

would it be a good idea once i hit 700 FPPs to just keep getting an $11 ticket? or get the bonus? or save huge for the sunday million ticket?

My advice would be to wait until they have a special offer. They seem to be doing those more often now.

Save them up!

Other than something like the January sale, the best you'll get for fpps (atleast without higher vip status) is $16/1k, you could earn more than that by playing tournament tickets but you have to spend the time to play.

The $50 for 5k fpp is a horrible deal, the $11 ticket isn't bad. I agree with Debi, hold on to them looking for a better value...unless you need money now. Could also play several of the 210fpp sats or lots of the 10fpp turbo rebuy sats for about the same value without putting chances all on one or two tickets.

Couple months towards end of last year they offered $16/1k for silverstar+ and another time $160/10k (might have been goldstar for that though, I forget) I hadn't spent any of my fpps until recently. Bought the $50 bonus when it was on sale for 3k and got the $40 cash for 2500.

Well, if you just do the math and find out what the value of the FPPs are for what you are getting it would help you.

(A)* $11 Sunday 1/4 million ticket - 700 FPPS
= $0.0157 per FPP

(B)* $215 Sunday Million Ticket - 13,500 FPPS
= $0.0159 per FPP

(C)* $50 VIP reward bonus - 5,000 FPPs
= $0.01 per FPP

Ok, now that we know the value of the FPPs we need to weigh our options. We are getting the least amout of value from our FPPs with option C. However, option C is the safest. It's $50.00. However, is it a bonus you have to unlock? You need to check that, because that would make a difference.

Option A and B are so close in value, it's doesn't really matter to be honest. Yeah, you can win more cash with option B, but you'll have to wait a long time to earn those FPPs. If you do option A and cash huge, you could buy into the Sunday million whenever you wanted to. Also, if you had a good cash in the 1/4 million, you would be able to move up in limits, which would mean you would be able to earn FPPs at a faster rate.

Would need to know more about your bankroll to make a more informed decision. But I would say option A is your best bet right now.

A look at last weeks 1/4 million pay out.

You are welcome.

$175 Bankroll

If you follow proper BRM you are rolled for 5nl, and $3.50 SNG's and $1.75 MTT's. You could probably push the MTT's to around $2.20/$2.40.

So you are playing micros, which means the FPPs aren't coming that quick, So now I totally say option A.

GL Brian.

I think when I had a very small bankroll I played the 210 fpp satellites and then if I won, would unregister for the tournament and take the T$. I then found someone who would buy T$ for 99% of their worth for real-money at Stars, which really helps the bankroll ($11 a pop).

+1.
They also have the 280fpp super turbo where 2/6 get a 11$ ticket and 3rd gets bi back.
Actualy prefer that one since they fill faster,take shorter and are supersoft.

Yah to the 210FPP satellites.

the 1/4mil is a huge donkfest (just so ya know). Went out yesterday, 5bet shove 80bb pot 60/120 levels w AA, called down by A5s & lost, lol. Good money in top spots, needing kevlar vest to get there. (I'd way rather play a $10+1, $20Kguar. MTT on there then the 1/4mil)
