PS buys PKR players database

Hi cardchatters,

good news for the people who had still some money on PKR.
pokerstars takes over the database of players of PKR.
I received an email from PKR responsibles with the possibility to
get the money back that was left on PKR account by overtaking it to Pokerstars.
Yay, honestly I thought already, the money would be lost.

If someone of you was playing as well at PKR, checkout your emails.
In my case the email even went to spam folder. But I received the money already, it is easy.

I only had about 2 cents worth on pkr so not bothered about it but glad players are gonna get there money

Its not too often these days that a pokersite shuts down with no huge robbery. Actually, the case with PKR is a pleasant exception. Everybody still remembers Full Tilt.

I will miss PKR the same way i miss the real full tilt so much memories

I think PS genuinely have the players best interests in mind. They stepped in and bailed out all of the players at PKR by covering their bankrolls.

If you are worried about PS having your personal information, you can always contact them and ask to have it removed.

Good point. I thought they may have also taken a gamble hoping to score more players by being "the nice guy". Which pays off if people lose what they had then put more in? I was also hoping they got rid of my info anyway due to them pulling out of Australia for now. Thanks for the idea to just contact them!
