Pretty simple question..

About to make a deposit.. which site should it be on? Which is less likely to anger me with terrible bad beats? :p Which has the most fish at the lower stakes?

Does one have better payouts than the other? What about cash outs? Is one quicker/cheaper than the other?

Thanks :D

It would really depend on what you play.
If it is cash or single table sng's bodog is super soft, easy to build.
If you do mtt sng's they take hours to fill you would want to go with ps.
PS I believe is pretty quick with their payouts, bodog fluctuates.
Good Luck.

So if I play all of the above depending on my mood, I should go with PS?

I would say yes.
Like I said the MTT sng's do take hours to fill, I am not exaggerating, lol

Depends on the MTT sng level you want to play. The 180 person $12 at PS fills in under 10 minutes, and you can probably have 3-4 going at one time. The $3 aren't too bad either.

It's been a LONG time since I've been at Bodog, but are the ring games still pretty slow to fill--especially the limit ones? Certainly fishy though.

Also, Bodog typically used to get a lot fishier (and busier) during football season because people would take their sportsbook winnings to the tables. Again....that was a few years back.

Good luck

Plus they have beginer tournaments which offer more payouts. Instead of the normal 10% i think top 20% gets paid or so.
Their mtt have alotn of donks though so bad beats might happen more often with these bad players,

I forgot about the beginner tourneys, those are great.
Also you can redeem your player points for cash, if it hasn't changed it was 500 pts for 5.00. Fairly easy to do.

Bodog has way less player traffic. I think the software sucks (although a bit better than awhile ago) - - ie. the HandHistory (last hand) is the absolute shits. Software also seems to mess with my computer (if you search thru the thread on here about Bodog, the rep. from there (& other members) will describe the technical reasons behind this (a bit more specific eg., I can play on multiple sites at the same time, with 10+tables running and NEVER have a problem. Add one Bodog table & I've gotten lag problems & freeze-ups that have cost me dearly).
On Bodog I believe you can only play 4 tables at a time.

As far as more badbeats?? Pretty sure the RNG on all sites is good.

Bodog has just about the weakest micro players (SNG & Cash) I've ever seen on any site (and have played on ~10 sites, 6 regularly).
Do I play on Bodog? Nope (well.. rarely & only for the occassional priv. mtt but did play a handful of 'beginner sng's' when they gave me a free $10 to try the site). I suppose if I was into 2 or 3-tabling some micro cash tables OR sng's I'd consider it.... maybe.

Bodog has some 'beginner sngs' where top 5 of 10 get paid, similiar to a Double-Or-Nothing but there's a increasing payout scale. They are VERY EASY to cash in and the players play REALLY BAD. For sure you could build a small roll from them (it'd be better if you could 10-table them, because they're very boring aside from watching all the humorous/bad play in them).

Personally I believe Fulltilt is superior to pokerstars (& all other sites).
If you were planning on playing med.-high buyin MTT.. Pokerstars would be good (same for SNG's $16+... I don't like the micro SNG's on Stars).

If you give more details about what you're looking for in a pokersite, I'm sure you'll get more detailed answers.

BoDog has a great and EASY payout system. Just rec'd a payout. Check came "registered mail" costing them about $3.75 to send... took about 4 days.

BoDog also has easier fish too. But, fewer folks play there, but easier to cash ITM there.

Thanks for the lengthy explanation PO, and I went with PS this time around. We'll see if it treats me any better than FT has recently. If not, I'll try to find somewhere I can go where I'm allowed to ask for player transfers, since I can't do so here. :)

These priorities have an inverse relationship. You can't have both over the long haul.

Also, we are supposed to work on the anger part since we can't really control the bad beat part.

I would go with poker stars, i dont think bodog compares to them. They used to be better when they had some sponsored pros. PS has better games too

How well attended are the Bodog CC tournies? Does Bodog allow latecomers? If so, for how long?

I greatly prefer the tournament sizes at bodog 100-300 depending on time than stars. Stars has those mega tournaments with upwards of 2k people sometimes making it very difficult to place and get any reasonable amount. Of course thats for the lower stakes I'm sure higher up it gets thinned out considerably.
