I was having trouble too, so I tried my laptop. Same thing. Wrote to Stars and this is what they said:

Thank you for your email and for allowing us to be of assistance.
The issue you are having has been reported to our Programming Team. They are currently working on a fix to be released in a future update.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide a time frame for a resolution of this issue. However, we are aware how important it is for this to be corrected and are working with haste to get it fixed.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience in dealing with this issue.

After reading this thread I thought I'd just log in from this computer and be patient. When I did that, I got a message that I am already logged in from another computer, which I am not.

Has this happened to anyone else? I booted my laptop back up, checked the Task Manager, and Stars is defintely not running there.

Doubt they have any servers on American soil, but for sure there are routers going thru that area and the weather could have caused the problems.

Was fine once I got sat down at the table, but getting there was spooky.

Follow-up: Stars got right back to me and said I was experience something called a "hanging logon". They fixed it and assured me it would not happen again.

Contacting support twice and getting such rapid response made me miss playing for real money at Stars so much again. Sigh....

I had to load pokerstars.net software so I could play the play money Home Games with CardsChat. I find it odd that I can't even use the PokerStars real money software to even sweat the big tournaments. But not only is the .net software slow, there are so many features missing and it really limits enjoyment of the games.
