Hello, everyone I just recently joined cardschat. I would like to share a recent experience I had with Ignition casino that will hopefully maybe save some new gamblers some grief. First of all I'm no stranger to online gambling and have been doing so for 15 years and never been scammed out of winnings. Well recently I joined Ignition casino because they have a Poker room as well. I heard that they are closely affiliated with Bovada so decided to give them a shot. I just recently won 600 Dollars playing Keno and decided to try a withdrawal. I had already sent required documents so I knew that wouldn't be an issue. So to make a long story short after about 3 weeks I recieve a Canadian check via courier, and promptly deposited it, and that was on the 8th of January. So today I log in to my ignition account and noticed they had credited 600 back to my account. I immediately knew what they had done, and of course they told me the check was returned because of a printing error on the check, yeah right!. What a scam. Now they want to pay me through Bitcoin. I gave them my bitcoin address, but seriously doubt I will ever see my winnings. I just wanted to share this to maybe save any new players some unnecessary grief. In 15 years of online gambling this scam shack is the worst i've ever seen. I also contacted the kanawakee gaming commission and guess what, ignition casino voluntarily terminated their license with them in 2016. The sob's aren't evened licensed as far as I know, lol. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS FRAUD SITE.

supernuts, i've dealt with bovada with no issues which led me to give ignition a try. The fact that they made up an obvious lie about a printing error on the check to return it tells me this site is bogus. I'm glad you got paid, but this outfit is shady as hell. I've read similar numerous complaints on this outfit lately as well. I would not recommend this site to my worst enemy, but will keep everyone updated how the bitcoin thing goes. I also found that on many forums Bovada/ignition are even blacklisted.

Your original post had some hyperlinks to an outside site for some reason. Did you copy your first post from somewhere else? Anyway, I removed the links.

I am interested to know just how the conversation went. Did they give the option for other payment methods as well when the money was returned to your account, or was bitcoin the only option?

It would be the bank returning the check making that claim, not Ignition (regarding the printing error).

Did they give you a time frame for when you could expect your Bitcoin deposit?

hello, yes i've copied and pasted my original post from askgamblers to as many poker/casino forums as possible to inform as many people as possible to this obvious scheme. These blatant scam sites have got to be dealt with! They have been pushing this bitcoin thing from day one of my withdrawal request. I told them I didn't want to deal with bitcoin so they decided to send me a bogus check. Of course now that the money is back in my account I have the option of requesting another check, but i'm not going through that again, and they know it. So, essentially bitcoin is my only option now. It's just a total scam. PLEASE PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

hey juicee, I don't believe for a second that there was a printing error at all. They obviously just did a stop payment on the check. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what's going on here. It's just horrid that us players have to resort to these places for entertainment. You live and you learn I guess. I will certainly keep you updated, thanks.

I think you may be jumping the gun just a little bit. :) Ignition has been a reputable place for US players to play. Bitcoin is lauded because that is the easiest way for US players to fund their poker accounts due to UIGEA. Of course, if you don't get your money, please let us know (and let us know if you do as well).

i agree, it's not like there not offering to pay you, but checks are hard to cash in the states. some banks just won't.
there may be a few rocks in the road.
you have to remember there taking all the risk.
I'm sure you'll get your money and that sucks for a delay. but bashing the site is a little harsh. good luck

supernuts, sending me a bogus check and then making up a ridiculous excuse on why it is void is not a good way to earn my trust. One thing for sure is my online gambling days are over. I'm done with it. I live like an hour away from a land based casino. I really have no one to blame but myself for putting trust into frauds you can't even see. Also, how do you figure they are taking all the risks? They're not taking any risk at all. U S players don't even have any recourse of action if they decide not to pay you. It's a free reign scam for these people.

I'm curious if you asked the bank why the check was returned? Just trying to put all the pieces together. I can certainly understand and empathize with why you are upset. Wouldn't make me very happy either...

actually it hasn't been returned to my bank as of yet, but was informed by ignition that it should be discarded because of the printing error. I'm sure it will come back insufficient funds or something. This was many days after I already deposited into the bank and was processed. Luckily I just deposited it and didn't take out any funds from that check or I would be beyond livid. My bank actually credited the amount to, so I could have. It's just a total mess. Horrible experience.

This happens to players all of the time. I've had a check bounce before, but ignition will make it up to you. They are a reputable site that deals with tens of thousands of dollars in withdrawals on the daily. It honestly could've been a printing error, and they wanted to warn you before you deposited the check, to avoid any additional fees from your bank.

Players cash out thousands at a time, I highly doubt ignition is trying to scam you out of just $600. They gave you your money back and suggested a faster, more efficient way to cash out...This is not a scam.

I have never had a problem with Ignition. I don't use checks anymore though. Bitcoin is my preferred withdraw option. It does take time due to high bitcoin traffic and miners fees. Best of luck to you. I hope a resolution is found soon.

I recently made requested a withdrawal on Ignition . They sent me a check from a Canadian bank thru a courier service . There were no problems at all . The whole process took no more than two weeks .

skaterick, I to have recieved canadian checks from other casinos with out any issue. This is the first bad experience i've had since online gambling. Why do you think they sent a bad check and put the money back in my account? They're hoping I just get frustrated and play it away, but i'm not going to. I will certainly never deal with these criminals again or any gaming site online for that matter. It just simply isn't worth the roller coaster ride these frauds put you on, but good luck to everyone. I hope everyone can get around this ridiculous mess if they choose to gamble online. No matter how this turns out I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO STAY FAR AWAY. No reputable site would send a bogus check and then think up a ridiculous lie to make it sound legit, and now they're wanting to pay me in bitcoin, lol. I mean come on people don't be naive.

I know it’s super tilting but honestly sticking with crypto is the best thing to do with these sites. Going the check route is just asking for trouble plus it takes ages.

playinggames, yeah I know what you mean although some of my biggest wins have been on keno. I hit a really nice jackpot on keno at a land based casino. I certainly won't be back to this site that I can guarantee you. Only land based for me from now on, or until they get online gaming licensed and regulated here in the u.s.

Hello everyone, What do you know I just recieved my withdrawal in my Bitcoin wallet now I have to find out how to cash it out as this is my first time dealing with bitcoin. Yes, I have to admit I'm surprised I recieved the payout at all, but still haven't seen the cash yet. If I can successfully cash this out I will be more than happy to call this complaint resolved. This has been a roller coaster ride and will let everyone know if it derails, lol. Well so much for that it's not giving me an option to transfer it to my paypal account, so it's not looking good. There's no way i'm giving them bank account info I guess I probably won't ever see it.

That's good news! One step at a time. We have this thread if you need to ask questions about how to convert your bitcoin: ***All Things Cryptocurrency***

I'll see if one of our moderators, S3mper can give some advice on that.

Try downloading coinbase.com You then link your paypal and/or bank account to coinbase. After that, you can transfer funds from coinbase to your paypal account(since you don't want to link your bank account) Will be an extra (small) fee though, since you're going through payapl to cash out to your bank.

Which wallet are you using for Bitcoin? If you're using Coinbase giving them your account information is safe. The company is based in the US and is very trustworthy.
