Hello friends, I am chromestar on pokerstars and I 'm playing these tournaments. They are long and there are many players playing crap hands. They recommend that strategy ? Some of you are playing ?
Yeah, I too play it. Have made ITM a lot of times, but no deep run yet (Usually my overly dominating hand gets crushed).
I've played loose, I've played tight. I think "Tight is Right". Play Tight and Aggressive, you'll make money a lot of times.

I play these daily sort of anyways.
I play all in until I get to either 4800 chips usually within the first ten minutes.
If I get to the 4800 I just sit out the rest of the game and make a min cash between 20 and 40 cents.
It works out to around $6 per hour played which you would be lucky to make by playing the whole game and making final table.
It adds $15_$30 a month to my bankroll for FREE.
I play all-in/fold during first 30 minutes, and later as usual low buy-in tour. It allows to minimize time for playing without any profit, but if i have big stack after 30 minutes, chances to win are much greater.
This was a good promo that Poker Stars offered for the rec player to extend their playing time on their deposits and keep them interested.
I am not impressed by what they have done to replace it so far.
I never won much at it but it did keep me interested in playing and depositing there.
With four main rooms left the one that does the best job at attracting players that deposit and lose on a regular basis will come out ahead and right now Poker stars are falling behind.

While there is a great deal of luck involved there is some sound strategy involved.
Never, ever, re-buy. The money is just too small until you get deep to make it worth it.
I've found that just waiting until you get high premium hands (A-Q, A-K, JJ,QQ,KK,AA) and shoving or calling any all-in works really well. Just play the odds and win more times than you lose. My #1 rule is if I have enough to make the money I shut right down and make the money unless I get a monster I have to play then just try to level up as far as I can until I nearly blind out or get some good cards. You start with 1200, if I get to 4000 I can make the money every time (unless I get a hand I HAVE to play) by slowing the table down by using the full 14 seconds every single hand. This has the added bonus of frustrating the heck out of the other players and inducing a call when I finally get a monster.
I make the final 100 several times a month and a final table 4-5 times a year .
I have also actually won 2 100k tourneys, with the most recent one at 7 AM on Christmas day.
My first win was Oct 2 2013, 1/9,203 for $294.12
My 2nd win was Dec 25 2015, 1/16,750 for $178.36
Just sharkscope orsino12 to verify this isn't just BS
