Coincidentally, today I noticed two private freeroll tournaments in the full tilt poker lobby each of them with a singularity that I have never seen before.

The first one is Tournament ID: 166227466

As you can see this private tournament has the prize pool made of Full Tilt Points rather than money as usual. If it is possible for any player to organize private tournaments with Full Tilt Points then is something that I look forward to as I rarely use them and this looks like a valid usage to me.

The second one is Tournament ID: 164270928

This is a private freeroll tournament but in the patent pending format of "Rush Poker". Ever since Full Tilt launched this innovation I guessed that sooner or later it would have been extended to private freerolls as well and this is the first as such that I see.

It may not be the very first of that kind. Could it be an indication that we are starting to move away from the usual slow-pace lenghty freerolls? Anyway I appreciate if someone with more knowledge can explain these topics better or has any comments and suggestions to report.

FTP points freerolls.
Hum they do look good, it would be nice if cardschat made one of those...
I always wanted to get some clothes from ftp but they are way too expensive at the shop.

Regarding the tourneys, I've seen a few rushes so far.

I have too. I haven't played them yet though. I will probably play one sometime.

For gain ftp points is good but not in Rush because is too quickly .... rush is like a turbo. Your head maybe go crazy lol......too many hands. But is a good idea.:)

I also like the idea of satellite freerolling for buyins into forum games. A couple of the forums do this instead of awarding cash and can increase the number of freerolls per week.

The FTP freeroll tournament is giving away a lot of points for just 18 members. That sounds like an interesting idea if we could get a larger prize pool or one like that one. I rarely use the FTPs now unless I am attempting to get into a tournament from it. As for the rush poker idea, I wouldnt mind playing in a couple, but would not like be up for the complete takeover of freerolls.

With a cardschat FTP points freeroll, there would be a lot of more people hence more ftp points. It would be nice, we would getthe chanceto be able to buy something nice form the ftp store without depositing 500 $ and having to play with that...

The rush format would be somewhat nice for the $200 ones..

The "MBJ NL" is interesting. Did they purchase those FTP's from Full Tilt? I mean Full Tilt can't just allow privates to give out that many FTP's to their members for free. One can spend those FTP's on Tournament tickets and satty tokens, not just clothes and gear.

Well with rush you can go at your own pace really, you can watch to see how a hand plays out, or just quick fold every .1 seconds. :D

The FTP tourney is for the Full Tilt poker forum qualifying members. You can make a certain amount of posts or win a tourney, but I'm not really sure how to qualify. They do it occasionally

The FTP tournament looks good. I've seen some rush poker tournaments as well, I like the fact that FT is expanding with this kind of Freerolls, giving more things than $$, and Rush tourneys are always fun.

Rush is OK. Not the best, but it's alright.

I once won a Horse freeroll for FTP, won 25,000 points. About 3 years ago, they were trying to promote the FT poker forum on their website. They ran round 1 satelites once a day. Then had the final, with 762 players qualified.
Spent a bulk of the points on a set of FT chips.

A while back there was a points tourny like this, but you had to play a private satty to get into it, some ppl were already into it. This is what i posted on the FullTilt Forum lol. I think the prize pool was around 500k points tho.

I played in this today and got ripped off pretty bad lol... there was 7 ppl left I was in 2 of 7. the tourny that we would win a seat to started and was running about 2min and late reg was in progress. The director of the tourny says we have to hurry up and finish or we wont get seats (1st-3rd place) so i start being really aggressive, by then the next tourny has been running for about 5min now and i get knocked out in 6th place. 2 hands after i get knocked out the director registers them into the tourny with 5 ppl still remaining. lol if i would of known they we're going to get a seat anyways I wouldn't have busted myself out lol

I know a number of the ipoker sites offer up tourneys where the prizes are not always cash. e.g. iPods, free bets on sports games, laptops etc.
