I have a question.
When you are registering your account to what ever poker room, they always ask for your postal address.

I hope they will never send me any mail. Did somebody receive any mails from them on their physical postal address?
If so, can you please name the poker room?
If so, I will write them and e-mail to tell them to never send me anything.

Thanks

If an online poker room finds out you are married or in a relationship, they will write a letter and send it addressed to your wife/fiancé/girlfriend at your physical address to let her know that you have been gambling and will send the details of every single deposit you have made with them. No Snail Mail from PokerStars

I have been on pokerstars for about 10 years and have never received any mail.

If you are concerned about being found out, I suggest you contact support at the sites you use and verify that postal mail contact is not permitted.

It's a pretty standard thing for identity verification, which in turn is part of their obligation to guard against underage gambling / money laundering / multi-accounting / etc on their sites.

I'd be surprised if they bothered sending you anything via snail mail unless you asked them to (eg: redeemed points for a physical item in their store). Email is both quicker and cheaper for marketing purposes.

I've never received actual mail from any poker site (or sports book) I've given my address to.

I won a 888 t-shirt 2 times. One I got at my home address and the next one was lost in the route. 888 posted it via ordinary mail. I love that T-shirt..

I actually get regular snail mail from the casino associated with the online poker room that I play (both government operated/managed). They sometimes point me to free play money offers of theirs. The online deals are a waste of time, but the in-person casino deals make the drive (30 mins or so) worth it. Last time I walked away with around $60 cash by playing a VLT using only the play money that they credited to my account. They only notify me of these by snail mail for some reason, so it works out well for me that they have my address.

They need your postal adress (that connects to your bank account) for when depositing, like when you buy something online that isnt an object they need to send you still need a billing adress. Ive never had any mail from any poker site over the past 7 years

some poker rooms use a home address for additional authentication (user verification) but this happens very rarely

Hello guys so I actually wrote and email to every single online room I am registered at and told them I do not wish to receive any mail.

They told me that they unsubscribed me and will never send.
So basically they have a subscription list where you get added automatically so you might receive some mail sometime.

I play at POKERSTARS, and I receive emails to the mail with the results of the tournaments and new promotions with every update, and from other poker rooms do not come - only the letters of registration confirmation of the account came!
