Is anyone familiar with, or know anything about the PokerTime poker site?

I had an account with them, after being introduced to the site from a friend in England.

Now, I cant down load the site, and was wondering if it was my computer or they went "belly-up" with my br.

Thanks

yes. they are most definetly still around. they arent accepting new U.S. players, but if you had an account there b4 i would contact their support. i have redownloaded this site in the last few days so unless there is an issue with your state, i see no reason why you shouldnt be able to.

Even if you have a problem downloading you can still play on PokerTime because they have a FLASH Version (means you can play without physically downloading)
They also started back up their $10 Free promotion, but you have to be outside the US to join as a new member.

I've been playing on PokerTime for just over a year now. Lots of low limit Holdem & Omaha on their "green" tables. The Omaha games have dried up since they removed the limit tables and only have pot limit. It looks like they are doing a better job of marketing overseas as I'm seeing a lot more new players recently.

I have never understood why previous U.S. customers can keep playing, but no new U.S. customers. What is the purpose of that?

I managed to down load the PokerTime site. Logged in and checked out my account, and they had removed my BR and my balance was zero.

Then, I attempted to sign up for one of the small sngs thinking I had made a mistake. But, it said I did not have enough in my account to play that SNG. The SNG was for pennies. So, no doubt my account was empty as indicated.

So thats that. Does not seem fair that a poker site can just take your money without having to answer to anyone.

Just keeping all posted.

It keeps the customers happy and the US gov't off their back. The US players already on the site will have to jump through hoops getting their money out in all likelyhood. Getting money in such a hassle for US players anyway, its easier for them just to stop accepting US players than it is to stay on top of the loopholes.

From the terms & conditions on pokertime.eu:
The player acknowledges that casino management may reverse any or all funds out of any casino account, which is, in its sole opinion, undesirable or dormant for a period of 6 months. Any "real" funds i.e. not promotional or bonus funds (dealt with in terms of additional terms and conditions) in any such casino account will be claimable for 6 (six) months thereafter unless the reversal occurred as a result of what, in the sole opinion of casino management, it considers to be fraudulent activity. Players who discover that their accounts have been affected in terms of this clause 17 shall be entitled to lay claim to such "real" funds upon application to the casino, whereafter such funds will be refunded to the player, provided that application has been made within the aforementioned 6 (six) month time period.

It would appear if you don't log in within 6 months, they take your funds. But you may as well email support@pokertime.com & ask to get the funds back

Yes it is a bit of a hassle. I'm trying to make a withdrawal and they have this verification process where I have to supply credit card info and other items. I think it is an annual process for them as I did it exactly a year ago. We'll see if I can get "verified" and get my withdrawal. They no longer send checks to U.S. customers, but use ACH's directly into your bank account.

Hey Chatters,

Latest update on my PokerTime Drama.

I took the advice of one of our chatters who replied to my thread (see below) and contacted PokerTime Support.

They said funds were withdrawn due to inactivity ( see another reply from chatter below about terms and conditions).

They then reinstateded my funds.

At which time, I decided to become active on the site again. So, went to the 2/4 cent ring table and "doubled my money" in about five minutes. At which time I left the game a winner. LMAO.

However, I did not see the micro games that PokerTime use to have. I will check it out, as they had some good micros to play.

So, altho they are not taking new US players, they apparently are keeping the US players already registered.

Thanks chatters for the good advise and input.

I usually get a couple of emails a month from the Poker Time about promotions, but the strange thing is that I have never had an account on that site...Not sure what the deal is with that..guess they purchased my email address or something along those lines.

You also would get promotional material from PokerTime if you ever had an account at royal vegas Poker or 7Sultans Poker. Both these sites transfered US players to PokerTime after the UIGEA thingy and are owned by same organization Fortune Lounge (playing on Microgaming Network). Actually, IC that Royal Vegas has just now merged with PokerTime.

Ahhhh, my memorable days at RVP--Free $10 into over $300,000. Makes me weepy.

Until recently I believe they were offering a free $10 with no deposit just for opening a new account there. Unfortunately, no new US players..

poker time

I play at Poker time from time to time:D ..I got in as a USA player when they were accepting us again for a while tho they were not offering the free $10....Ratz....I like the multiple times daily $100 freerolls and the guarenteed tournys are often underplayed...and have had no problems there.....trying to convince them to start working with Pic-club ...best solution I have found for USA poker players to get around that inconveniance called the UIEGA:eek: .

I noticed the fine print language about inactivity above with PokerTime and that may be their right, but I've not heard that type of problem regarding the major sites (Full Tilt or PStars).

I too noticed that the micro games are now gone from Royal Vegas; the micro Sitn Gos were one of my favorites.

I got an e-mail with this offer. If they are not accepting new U.S. players, why would they send me one?

They sent me an e-mail a week ago with a free $10 promotion. I had no problems downloading the software from Ohio.
