Hi,
Does anyone have anyone 'hands-on' experience with PokerTime? I'm looking for a site for my girlfriend to join up to with a cash account.
She's fairly new to poker but has become a real enthusiast and has been playing mostly in freerolls for a few months. Just this past week, she placed in the cash in four freerolls, and actually came in 1st place out of around 4,000 players in one of them.
I want to get her a cash account, partially so that she can actually make use of the freeroll winnings (she's most likely going to stick mainly to the freerolls for now, so needs a site that will accomodate that).
I've noticed (and played on) some of the super mini-micro SNG's on Doyle's, and have noticed it's a similiar set up on PokerTime.
With PokerTime's Super7 happening a few times per month, I was thinking that maybe that would be a good site for her to start out on but am not sure what it's really like.
I might sign her up to pokerstars and Fulltilt as well,... but am thinking it would be best to find a site for her with the super micro-mini SNG's ($0.09+$0.01) to get her some more experience.
Any comments on experiences with PokerTime would be greatly appreciated,... oh yah, same goes for 'Doyle's'.

Thanks,
Poker Orifice (tracking with the Orifice)

any place would be fine...I started at FT(Fulltilt) but they seem to have higher levels of plsy....Pokerstars has good SNGs and micro limits(penny poker) 0.01/0.02$ poker with 1$ min buy in is a great start at ring games

I played on PokerTime for a bit, sticking mainly to freerolls.
At first they had daily $1,000 freerolls.
Those changed to daily $500 freerolls.
Then most of the freerolls became for members who had 1 raked hand within 24 hours. Bleh.

I dislike the PokerTime software. I always feel rushed, and it it has a clunky feel to it.

I used my freeroll money to play the micro limit ring games and found them to be substantially looser than my regular Pokerstars micro limit tables.

There are a *lot* fewer people on PokerTime as well, so you don't have nearly as much choice.

All in all, I don't think it's a bad place to start if you had money from freerolls. The freerolls they do offer are generous. I wouldn't make a deposit there though.

One time I played a stud freeroll, folded every hand but one, and ended up in the money. And the one hand I did play was an insignificant win.
