Here is what I would do with the cash if I won the $5000prize for best blog.
First thing would be to pre register for the wsop $1,500 NLHBuy In at the Rio on 28 May. This is a 3 day event so would plan to get there 2days before and then hang about for another 2 days after the event. That is 7 nights in Vegas so with Buy In, flights from Scotland, hotel and other expenses I reckon I need to allocate a budget of $4,000 to cover this. If I was lucky enough to cash at least $5,000 my remaining bankroll would be $6,000 plus and I would then register for the WSOP $1,500 NLH Buy In at the Rio on 3 June which is my birthday. This is a 5 day event which would mean another 7 nights inVegas. With buy in, hotel and other expenses bankroll would drop to $3,000. Like all serious poker players my ambition is to play in the WSOP main event. I hope to do this over the next 3 to 4 years and playing in one or both of the above events would be great preparation for this.
I have been lucky enough to visit Vegas twice before andhave experienced the thrill of playing poker there. However playing in theWSOP, even if it is not the main event at this stage, would easily top my previous visits and would be great preparation for the main event which I hope to play over the next 3 or 4 years. Most of my poker is played on line as there are not too many opportunities to play live where I live. While I love playing on line especially at Pokerstars there is nothing to beat the thrill and buzz of playing live especially in a city like Vegas.
After playing one or both of these WSOP events I plan on heading to Nashville for 7 nights. Mixing a visit to Vegas to play in the WSOP with atrip to Nashville to take in some great country music would be my dream trip. I have been to Nashville once before and loved everything about it. The last visit was my learning curve and my next trip there will be planned much better now that I know my way around. Unfortunately there are no casinos in Nashville but I reckon I can survive for a week to 10 days on country music.
My normal poker bankroll does not normally allow me to play the Sunday Million game on Pokerstars very often. My buy in’s tend to be a good bit less than the $215 required to lay the Sunday Million. Given that the prize for the best blog is a bonus I would, if I were lucky enough to win it, use this fund at least four buy in’s for this great online tournament.
