i have been comparing what you can do with the points on full tllt and pokerstars, other than buying stuff with it. It looks like pokerstars are the better value. Pokerstars have tournaments with a buy in of 10 points for a 500.00 prizepool. The only way you can use your full tilt points is to get into satellites with a very low percentage of winning, like you need to get into the top 1 percent just to qualify for another tournament to make any money. i have been looking all over at full tilts site, but other than that, has anyone else seen any ways to better use your full tilt poker points? If not, it does not seem like its worth it to try to earn ftp points, with so little value, so i may not even deposit there. I think its worth it just to earn points on pokerstars, so that is where i will keep depositing. Am i missing anything or is there a better use for points at ftp other than the point i just listed?

One relevant point is that FT gives you far more points than PS does, so it's not particularly surprising if they are worth less.

The big sats are definitely lottos on both sites. It is very frustrating to play for a couple of hours and not win, but it is FREE, so to speak. If you are not playing for big stakes the points don't accumulate very quickly. I like to play the sats just for the experience and maybe I will put together a couple of wins and get into a big tourney.

I agree that PS points are better then FTP points when it comes into buying into tourneys for cash payouts. But FTP has better fr's beacause it is not a Sat tourney like on PS. AP/UB has a good point system to for entering tourneys like the donkfest and some Sat.

Yes, Full Tilt points are pretty worthless, but FT also offers rakeback whereas Pokerstars does not. But Pokerstars stellar rewards program makes up for the no rakeback thing. I have earned more from PS's vip program than I have from FTs rakeback, but I have also played a bunch more games at PS. But then again with the different promos that FT has I have earned about ~$100 more from those bonuses.

It really depends. If your a cash game player and can get rakeback at Full Tilt who cares about their points being pretty worthless since the rakeback will more than make up for it. If you play a very lot on Pokerstars the VIP Stellar Rewards will end up being worth about as much as FTs rakeback. But for bonus promos Full Tilt always seems to have some that are very easy to clear for extra "free" money.

FullTilt always seemed to me a site sucks in all respects. especially with VIP points. 18k points and I do not have tournaments VIP access from this site that is for me.
Ultimate Bet and PokerStars to go along very well with them.

Full Tilt seems to have started to put a lot more effort in recently.

Their customer service will probably never be as good as PS, but I have found them a lot quicker to respond recently than they used to be (hours now instead of days, whereas PS tend to respond in minutes).

I like the latest FT software update, even though I still can't work out how to change the time to UK time, and PS have increased the rake on their micro games so FT now appears to be better for micro stakes if you can obtain RB.

I don't believe you can change the time. Full Tilt works with its server time, which is North American Eastern Standard Time.

I'll never have the volume of play to be Supernova or SNE on PS, so give me rakeback and a worse value for FTP points any day.

Cash games are similar -- actually for what I play, more tables on FTP (probably for the same reason above). In the long run, it should come down to where you prefer to play (for whatever reason) and where your best profit is. Look at the frequent player points as just what they are: a relatively tiny bonus.

One thing, worth to change...!!!

It shouldn't be a big problem to integrate this into the software.

Carbon is worse, because I never figure out when a game starts.
I get confused by all those GMT's an so on...

:icon_scra...must be me...!!!

On pokerstars you will always find big tournaments with small buy-ins. They have the 12.5K with 2.80$ buy in plus the 250k with 10+1$ buy-in but the number of players that register is ridiculous. On FT a normal 2.20 tournament has between 300 and 700 entrants, on pokerstars theres like 2000-3000 but like i said a bigger prize pool.

The points are just a small extra, not worth most of our collections. I do like the rakeback at FTP which works out quite well for the small guy. Thank you for that invention...
