Rock Star
Silver Level
For those who haven't yet heard, the time is coming near, poker is stepping inside the world of virtual reality. Wanted to post a thread to see what the community thinks of this, and if anyone will be going to get a virtual headset for this.
I personally think this sounds like a fun idea, and will most likely go out and buy a headset once it's offered just to try it out. It seems like a pretty neat gimmick which could allow for even more creative expansions in the future. There is also the risk that it ends up being real clunky and hard for the user to navigate (such as paging between multiple tables). Even if this ends up being nothing game-changing I imagine it being a new level of fun, one which I hope to try soon. Here is a quote from PokerStar representatives which elaborate on some of the possibilities.
"They can do this while streaming shows or sport and enjoying a variety of virtual items and activities such as ordering food and drinks, sharing sushi, throwing items at each other, or even owning a pet donkey and smoking a cigar (or a cigar-smoking pet donkey if that’s on the wish list).”
