Pokerstars throwables

Is anyone else getting fed up with the overuse of these things. I'm sick of constant fireworks and tissues getting slung around all the time. I don't know if you can turn this off but it's just irritating now.

I don't mind the odd one if something crazy happens, but to just be at it all the time is childish.

I seem to have been saved from these since I have disabled the Aurora Graphics engine. I prefer my tables as ascetic as possible with no distractions.

Definite overuse and inappropriate use at some tables. Can be funny when used sparingly, and to make a point (alarm clock for slow play), otherwise best kept to a minimum.

They are pretty annoying. I have not found a way to turn them off.

I tried turning off the Aurora engine but I didn't like the primitive look of the tables. They then look like the whole thing has rolled back to 2004. The previous design before they introduced the throwables was fine. The new engine is also resource hungry. My laptop fan is constantly running when the client is open. And it's not a low spec laptop either.

I hear what you ate saying mkdrummey but I am still not sure we all experience the same thing.

I had increasing graphics issues from the end of the year (2019) and was fighting the new graphics engine (unwittingly at first) because it made everything look so cheap and basic- like phone App version. Once someone clued me in I kept Aurora off my computer and the experience is rich and smooth (it is primitive when the new graphics engine is on).

As for the throwables, yeah they would get old but I only see them on another site where I play specific tourneys and it would appear players use them sparingly so they can be amusing.

Can't suggest anything but the obvious (which I am sure you have tried) uninstall everything and play with a few download options if available. I cleared up some existing problems recently by specifying a Windows 10 download rather than a general download- good luck

if you see me at the tables be sure to throw me as many boxes of tissues as you can, I am running low on tissues. thank you in advance!

turn off the aurora engine then and customise your tables to a point where you are comfortable

Anything that detracts from playing a good game is a pain in the ass.

I can't say that I would know how the tables looked in 2004, but when I compare my table view to those I see on Twitch I really don't see a huge difference. Biggest difference might be my vertical time bar.

Yes I agree with you , the only new feature I like by PS is the dark lobby which I use.

Yes,it looks ridiculous to me and this new feature looks and feels like something Zynga Poker had at their play money tables on Facebook more than 10 years ago.It's weird that PokerStars introduced this now.

I cannot see anything of these throwable objects .maybe because I have disabled aurora feature . I just imagine , one player throwing all the time objects to me to distractt or irritate me , when I cannot even see them , lol . One player talking to distract me or cursing at me to irritate me , when I have already disabled the chat during games .

Good afternoon mate.Fortunately,I did the same. so no problem at all.

For me these throwables can be funny to use sometimes, but will be nice to have an option "mute" players who just throw everything non stop

You will notice how overused these are if you play the all members games and any games where the password is leaked out. Seems very juvenile to me. I know you can disable all this stuff but I'm finding it does draw attention to some players.

I think they're awful and always admired Stars for not adding pointless trash like this...

Guess there are a few things I misconstrued about Stars... :laugh:

All that being said, they're there, there's not much I can do about them not being there (Stars seemed to remove or hide the option to disable aurora on mobile), so...

I put up with them and sometimes I throw things at people..

During beta there was a rose to throw, I liked that..

There was also a horseshoe to throw, I liked that too!

Both removed now...

I think Stars grows more and more detached from its client base and cares less and less.

Just keep raking in as much rake as you can rake in!!! :knuddel:
