I realize you said "probably", but I still think it is way over generalized. There are plenty of us that don't move past bronze star because we simply don't play enough hours/tables/hands. But not making poker my life by playing 24 tables for 60 hours/week doesn't make me a bad player because I'm at 100NL or 50NL or 200NL. Though saying this now, if I did show my status (which I don't), then I guess I'd probably prefer that someone made a generalization like that about me. If they don't give me credit simply based on # of stars shown, then stacking them is easier imo.
the number of people like u are very outweighed by the number of people who don't play enough because they are:
-underrolled
-taking a shot at a cash game because they scored a tournament
-random people who decide to deposit some money and play some
online poker
-other "bad" players
obv u should use ur discretion, but if you have nothing else to go by (the guy's username isn't so obvious, you don't know if he has autoreload on, etc), you can use this generalization to make some decisions easier
edit: also u dont need to make poker ur life by 24-tabling 60 hours a week if ur rolled for 100nl to get silverstar, wtf?
