Hello guys

Can someone tell me why is not allowed have more than 1 account on pokerstars ?
And really, I know bad beats are normal at poker, but have you guys noted that after a good run of profits you start to have bad beat after bad beat, I mean if you have nuts on flop and go all in, the only 1 or 2 outs of the villain will hit at turn, if you go all in in turn the out will come on river. Is like if your account are not allowed to win for a time period, and trust me if you make another account due this time the bad beats wont come after you... Its a little weird...

You can have only one account because pokerstars said so, its part of the terms of service you agreed to when signing up......its standard with all pokersites.

Variance is what it is, just accept it and move on and play the game as best you can it will work itself out over time. Multiaccounting will just get you banned and not able to play on the site at all.

If you have more than one account then there is the possibility of cheating, if you log in with 2 computers.
You have to think how many bad beats you had befor the good run of profits. Also, maybe you are paying more attention after profitable run and you are expecting more.
Incidentally, how come you think bad beats won't happen if you had another account when you can't,? just speculation?

I made an analysis over last 100 hands, lost 70% of coin flips with premium hands (AA, AK and KK) against weaker hands and 10% of bad beats on one account and 2~3% on the another account...

Really on a huge sample of 100 hands you think thats statistically accurate? lol

Besides how do you not know if you had played the 200 hands on the same account that you wouldn't have had the same analysis in reviewing it in seperate 100 hand samples?

I said after a good run of profit, of course I've done good hands before that, the question is why after all you start to lose with stupid hands, just wondering it is weird I'm not assuring...

It's just variance luiz, the ups and downs of poker. The game is about the longrun and in the longrun statistics should hold up meaning you will have your AA cracked 20% of the time but win 80% of the time with them etc.

I think after showing any significant profits going on a bad run hurts worse than when you were mabye initially struggling to make those profits in the first place because it might feel like you should be winning more now and continue that upward climb but there are always going to be valley's on any journy and eventually after a good run of variance and play will come a time when we can't win a hand no matter how perfect we play......... its the part of the game that keeps the lucky players comming back as it gives them the chance of winning something and no just getting beat up all the time by the better skilled.

We just need to learn to embrace it and not waste time and effort thinking and trying to prove it is some kind of rigged system.

Ok, I respect your opinion and you must be correct. I play poker for a couple of years and I'm not going stop, I'm not tilted or so. Theres thousands of players that live from poker and analyzes over 10000+ hands, and if someone have founded something wrong they probably would alert the poker community (or not!) just because its ok if you gain $100 and after lose $60 you still cashing. But everyone knows that casinos have a little advantage against players its around 0,5% to 3,5%, its not a huge percentage like 50%+ but in a long run it becomes in all those million dolars of profit.
Is sad to say but to pokerstars the more money you lose is better for them.

Win or lose pokerstars gets their cut either way, their cut is the rake so they would never have any reason to sway the outcome of a hand and as you mentioned if they did their are enough people out there who have analyzed millions yes not 10k+ but 1 million + hands and verified that everything is as it should be when it comes to stars.

In situations where issues were found, like the superuser issue from years ago it was this analysis that found the anomoly's to eventually point out and find out and stop the problem.

There are instances of up to 50k hand samples when it comes to win/lose where players have simply broken even over that sample, I have seen some here on the forum with large samples of break even when in the long term they are winning so obviously during that sample there were times they would have won a bunch and then likely lost it again etc.

GL on the grind, we all love and hate the game sometimes but we could never stay mad at her :D

I completely agree. I have had 2 accounts on pokerstars and on fulltilt before they caught it and it doesnt happen. You can win over and over and over again but if you have a good run and hit a huge tournament you will indeed get sucked out on. NO matter what!... like you said you could turn the nuts and go all in and they will definitely hit the out on the river even if its one out!... Its pretty insane and that doesnt happen live. I've played poker for 10+ years and can tell you its not normal. And the fact that if you have more than one account and play on the other one, then it wont happen to you on the other account, just the one that you recently profitted big on. Its insane, everytime you cash out you are gonna run into bad beats, I say make sure you keep your cash outs big, if you make a huge cash do not play until you get all the money off! Then deposit in small amounts over and over again until you can get into some good tournies. I also think that you should only play large MTTs if you win a big MTT, if you go straight to large stakes cash after a big MTT win you will lose HARD! I know I've gone up 10k on pokerstars and somehow lost 3K within a week playing high stakes cash when i know damn well i was ahead more than 80% of the time. Its just not right at all! I say if you can make good money online, do it. BUT CASH IT OUT and then play live for a living if at all possible. It is possible to be profitable online playing MTTs, I used to do it for a living, but its a hell of a grind. And you can only play MTTs like you said if you start to play anything else they will whisk away that bankroll in seconds. Its pretty brutal. So play to win big online, and then cash out and try to make a living of it live! Good luck.

Thank you, Now I see I'm not the only who think that... I've lost 30% of my bankroll in few hours, just after win those 30% in a MTT  :(

Admitting to multi-accounting, and leaning towards rigged theories? This is going downhill fast...

Admitting to rule breaches and posting it on a public forum where all eyes can see isn't a very smart move, especially when there is a pokerstars rep that is a member of the forum. Think before you post in future

Ok I'm Soooooooooooo sorry for saying anything at all. Just keep on being the way you are as I seriously don't care :)

Oh and FYI it has been a long time since I have deposited. Instead I withdraw thousands and rebuild a comfortable roll that I leave myself to work with.

Good day to you

It's a little weird, because PS has the highest rate of software and HUD users that rack up massive amounts of information multitabling. They are also proficient bum hunters that tag you with their software that make play decisions based on your play. There are more sites like unibet that do not allow poker tracking and HUDS. they also prevent bum hunting through their lobby format. The biggest benefit is you are able to change your identity whenever you think somebody has you tagged. this way, you only need one account.

This is the way online poker should be played.
