Yes, in the main lobby click the 'options' tab.
Near the bottom of the drop-down menu there is a 'preferred seat' option... click it.
A box will pop up that will allow you to set the seating preference for all table configurations... 10 seat, 9 seat, 8 seat, etc.

Make sure you change your seating settings in PT3 too, if you're using it, otherwise your HUD will be all over the place. Let me know if you need help with this.

I think Nick's suggestion is the the best unless you want your HUD to be skewed and have to choose your seat everytime you sit down - especially annoying if you're opening lots of tables. Save yourself some time -do what Nick just said.
