PTR estimates I have paid $21 on my 2NL so far, but I have no idea if I'll have rakeback coming to me when the month ends.
I think you missed the distinction between VIP and rakeback.
On Stars, your "rakeback" comes in the form of VIP bonuses and such that you buy with your VIP points. You don't get paid a regular rakeback like on FT and other sites.
If you're playing 2NL, you're simply not going to benefit much from the VIP program. A flat rakeback plan would better suit you. When your volume or stakes go up to the point that you're earning a lot of VIP's and increasing in VIP levels, then it becomes more attractive. Get to SN or SNE, and it's very lucrative, but I don't think there's enough time in the day to get there from 2NL.
