I just made a new pokerstars account just to peek around the real money lobby's and so on. When I signed up it said that U.S. residents can't play from anywhere in the world?

How is it then that Jason Somerville and so many other pro's leave the country for periods of time to play there?

Because they have residence in another location that they can play from. In Somerville's case Toronto.

Does that mean you have to have a dual citizenship in order to play? Or just an address and bank out of the states? The way its worded in the statement it doesn't seem like it would be a very flexible rule?

Just be able to provide them documentation proving you have a residence there. You cant just travel and play on Pokerstars while traveling.

This is confusing seeing as Daniel Negreanu was streaming on Twitch for stars at the latest EPT from his hotel? How does this work? Special rights because he's a team pro? He obviously didn't have residence so I'm confused?

He has dual citizenship with the U.S. right?

Guessing if you're a citizen somewhere else you would be able to play as you traveled. But being a us citizen it would be a nightmare for pokerstars to sort out everyone while they were on vaca.

Amigo is a problem of room Pokerstars with the government of the United States. You can play in other rooms as american cards room, or coal BetOnline Poker. They play because they come from there
