Win with 7-2 suited and claim a cash prize!

Every poker player knows that 7-2 is the worse starting hand in Texas Hold’em, but you can earn extra cash if you win with 7-2 suited during the special 7-2 Boom! week from October 1-7. All you have to do is play 7-2 suited in a Hold’em hand, win, and then use the Boom! Hand Replayer to share it with the world.
How to Win with 7-2 Boom!

Play any real money Hold’em ring game - including Zoom - from October 1-7 and win a hand with 7-2 suited. The hand can be won either at showdown or when everyone else folds, but you must then share it by using Boom!
Cash prizes will be determined by the big blind at the table on which you won the hand, and you can win up to three times a day (between 00:00 ET-23:59 ET). The big blind is then multiplied by the number of other players at the table, up to a maximum of $20. For example:
You are playing at a nine-handed Hold’em ring game table with blinds of $1/$2. You win with 7-2 suited and Boom! your hand. You would win $2 (big blind) x 8 (number of opponents) = $16 cash prize.
Please Note: Cash prizes will be credited to your account within 48 hours. hands dealt in heads-up games do not count towards the promotion.
Looking for some tips on how to adapt your game for playing 2-7 suited at a Hold’em ring game table? See here for exclusive advice from the Poker School.
Terms and conditions

Only hands played in real money Texas Hold'em ring games are eligible (Zoom included).
To qualify for a prize, a minimum of three players need to be dealt into the hand. Hands dealt in heads-up games do not count towards the promotion.
Player's hole cards must include 7-2 in any order (7-2 or 2-7) and they must be suited (any suit).
Player must win a hand with 7-2 suited in order to qualify for a prize. The hand can be won either at showdown or when everyone else folds during the hand.
A player must upload the winning hand using the Boom! Hand Replayer immediately after they won to qualify for a prize. Please note that BOOM! Hand Replayer is not available on mobile and tablet devices.
Only winning hands that are won and shared on the BOOM! Hand Replayer between 00:00 ET on October 1 and 23:59 ET on October 7 qualify for a prize.
The cash prize won is the amount of the big blind times the number of opponents at the table, up to a maximum of $20 per hand.
A player can claim up to three prizes per day (between 00:00 ET-23:59 ET, server time) up to a maximum of $60. If a player wins more than three prizes during the same day the highest prize amounts will be credited.
All cash prizes will be automatically credited to winning players’ accounts within 48 hours.

this promotion does not interest me at all, it's a gimmick and as someone who believes in the poker mindset any negative deviation of ev or not playing optimally is leading to tilt or not playing your best

This promotion does not make sense to me, you got more chance of losing the buyin of the table to go to win the hand with 72 and be rewarded with 8 big blinds

are you guys serious? They don't force you to play 72.
They are giving away 'FREE MONEY' with a bit of added fun for the game.

Have you guys watched some of the older 'Poker After Dark' cash game shows on TV? There's a number of times where they'd have it where if the winner of hand shows '72' the others on the table pay them an agreed upon amount. Made for a bit of fun.

This promotion sucks and is only going to make people risk alot of money for very little money. So not worth it.

there is no such thing as free money, and playing worse than you are capable of is playing on tilt based on the poker mindset, this will surely be great for fish to play even worse, if you prioritize fun over making money than you are a casual player and will never be a winning player and will end up paying for your entertainment like you were going to a movie that can end up costing you as much as you consider to be entertaining, now on to the poker after dark, this is a tv show and the players there are trying to play on for the camera so that the show gets more viewers, they are paid to be on the show and different angles are included that would not be there if it was your everyday high roller cash game off camera

Yes how awful it will be that some fishy idiots chasing their 72s will be losing money.

If only there was some way to take advantage of this...

Oh wait!

You're just full of assumptions aren't ya, LoL. Like assuming that someone who is going to be picking spots to play 72 is going to be 'tilt-based'.
Maybe go watch some more of your poker tv shows... dreaming of one day sitting there amongst them... taking part in some table banter with the likes of TonyG. But during a commercial break, maybe take the 30secs. to think it over a bit.

Let's be very clear for the hard-of-thinking.

This promotion is fantastic for any decent player who aspires to make money at cash games. Not from getting 72s but from playing against those that do and who overplay it.

Think now...

Not bad one, but they could have increased payoffs a little. 1BB*number of players isn't very tempting when you take into account the considerable risk of losing pot in vain, in spot you would't even play under normal circumstances.

Yea that's truth when you look at it from the other side. Didn't really see this possible advantage at first.

Good to try If there is not action at table in that hand... But when there is action before you I think its not worth to risk your buyin cause of 8BB. Anyway I dont play cashgame anymore so ...:)
