Hi,

I play on pokerstars and I have a friend who also wants to play there but he doesn't have a credit card so I have few questions:

1.Can I let him to use my visa card to deposit and cash out on PokerStars eventhough I use the same card on my account?

2.Can I use money transfer option to transfer him money so he can play and when he wants to cash out he sends the money back to me and I cash out for him?

Is this against the rules?

Why ask a poker forum about poker site financial security issues ?

This is like asking a mechanic about a serious medical condition. If you believe 'internet' replies, what will you do if Stars closes both accounts later ? Write them an e-mail telling them what thread approved your actions. ????

Please, for your own security, all financial matters, your account and your credit card questions should be directed to support@pokerstars.com

They are super with their response times and will always have a record of what was discussed in e-mails between them and YOU about your questions and account. Don't make the mistake of putting yourself in a situation where transfers back and forth between the same credit card, but different player ID's, leaves you opening your account one day to find your account closed and funds confiscated.

I don't think its against the rules, just be careful. Don't transfer funds like every other day, do it maybe twice a week and I think you should be okay.

NOOOOOOOO. That just looks like someone multi-accounting and that is enough for any site to ban you for life. If your friend is legitimate he can use deposit methods like top-up cards or whatever alternatives PokerStars offer, and cash out by cheque.

I know Number 1 is definately a NO-NO and can land you in PokerStars trouble.

Part of Number 2 is the best option. You can always transfer money to people so they can play without depositing.

The part about withdrawing for him may well be against PS rules.

I would email PS and ask them directly

You can do that, I have use my husbands checking account and believe he has as well. And the transfers are a definite yes. I am almost sure I saw someone post they have cashed out without depositing, but could be wrong there.

I just want to add something important I remembered....PokerStars has been cracking down recently on people who transfer from other players and withdraw. While you can withdraw without depositing....they are now strictly requiring play of 15VPP/$100 to be able to cash out from a transfer.

You can always just give him cash for whatever he transfers you and cash it out later.

I'm curious to as where this info is posted? My belief was that if you deposit after accumulating money, then you can withdraw without any problem?

I haven't found anywhere that the above is 'specifically' posted. Each transaction is reviewed before approving a withdrawal. It's not like having a BofA or WellsFargo debit card with a balance when you just treat it like an ATM.

I have never made a Stars deposit (and never will). I do have a (recent) e-mail confirmation from Stars support verifying that anytime I want to cashout, there will be no problem. I've played on Stars for over 3 yrs now and just let my balance grow.

What Stars, or any site, is concerned about is a rapid fire series of 'hit-n-run' type activity, money transfers P2P, no/little poker table (rake) action and immediate requests to withdraw. Throws up a red flag - as it should.

All they have to do is look at the player activity and decide whether instant withdrawals are safe or risky for them. Most every transfer I do has a '24 hours to process' caveat. But it is always approved within minutes.

If it looks like a duck, smells like a duck and tracks like a duck - it probably is a duck. They will make a few extra hoops to jump through to cover their butts.

PLANE NO, you can not do this your account will be banned.
Have him go to allaccessgift.com
to find a spot to get an allaccessgiftcard to put money on the site, and if he can't, and then i am guessing he is under age and SHOULD not be playing to start with.
And make sure it says allaccessgift card.
P.S Did you even read the terms, you can not send him money and then have him send it back, it will be taken as cheating, he and you will have to deposit on the site to even do this, and if i am wrong pleas post saying i am wrong... Alot of sites work the same way.
P.S unsted of asking on CC why don't you fire off en email off to PS and ask them, and see how long you account lasts
EDIT: i know this post may seem harsh, but i have seen this allover with the asking of a dumb Q's like this, when they can Email support.

They link your Credit Card with your acct, so dont. they will think Multiple Accts
You can transfer for you friend, but if you do withdraw, don't leave a pattern.

pretty sure you can do number 2, but not number 1. Im pretty sure you gotta use the card that is associated with the accnt.

This info on PokerStars that I am aware of (need 15fpp/$100 to cashout a transfer) is not posted as a guideline anywhere on PokerStars that I know of. It has been brought to my attention on a number of occassions directly from players who made transfers with other players then immediately tried to withdraw the money, and was notified by PokerStars that they are not a banking institution and play on the site was required.

But the rate I quoted has become the "known" standard for PS by many internet posters. This comes up a lot on several staking sites for obvious reasons.

No you can not use a friend's card, to deposit and withdraw money from your account, the card must be only in your name and the account must have the correct data to match the card otherwise you will have problems, I also tried to transfer money to another card and me wrote that I can not withdraw money because the card is registered to another person, I then took a card in my bank in my name and I successfully had my money withdrawn from the account and arrived on the card on my own!

I know you could not use the same card on two accounts as for if he wins and transfers it back to you I dont know but could be awkward.

Deposit with transfer to player and his instant cashout such activities are not generally allowed! However, this is possible up to several about maybe one to a few hundred dollars. If too often support can block the transfer option or can ban your account. For small amounts and occasionally it is possible.
Example:
You can transfer cash to other player. He can play from this transfer. When he win, he can transfer to you. You can cashout instant example 100$ (remember not to often!). When more, you should play for this example few weeks and next withdraw. As a rule, every transfer should be for the game.

No Deposit - all Withdrawals

Trying to build up enough money to not deposit at all. A friend did transfer a small amount of money to my account and I keep winning a dime at a time in the freerolls. Withdrawal may be a little more difficult because there is no mail here for me to receive a check. If they can deposit money to my bank account, that would be the best way to receive my winnings!
