The schedule for the 8th running of the PokerStars MicroMillions series was announced on July 7. The series will take place over 11 days (July 17-24) featuring 100 events with $5 million in guaranteed prize money. The Main Event, scheduled for Sunday, July 27 is a $1,000,000 Guarantee NLHE tournament with just a $22 buy-in. Players can buy into MicroMillions events for as little as $0.10! You can find a schedule of MicroMillion events here.

Portuguese Team pokerstars Pro João Nunes has already committed to playing in some of these events since, as he says, "MicroMillions 8 is undoubtedly the best online poker championship for recreational and low stakes players. The tournaments come thick and fast and the value is unreal", pointing out the huge value of a $2.20 buy-in event with $150,000 guarantee.

In addition to the great line-up of tournaments, there will be other special offers including the MicroMillions Challenge, where players can earn tickets for either a $15,000 or $30,000 Shootout, depending on how many games they play. Not to mention the First Deposit Bonus for new players, which will entail $20 in free play, a ticket to the $100,000 guaranteed Privilege freerolls, and a free MicroMillions 8 tournament ticket bundle worth more than $16 that can be used to win a share of the $5 million guaranteed prize pool--all for as little as a $20 first-time deposit.

There will also be leader-board prizes, with 1st place winning 6 months worth of Sunday Million tickets, 2nd-9th receiving 5 Sunday Million tickets, and 10th-100th winning one Sunday Million ticket each.

With all this swag, if you can play at PokerStars, you would be insane to miss the action! Let us know what you're playing, and keep us updated here!

The MicroMillions Challenge

Play 6-9 MicroMillions events to receive a ticket to a $15,000 All-in Shootout.
If you play 10 or more MicroMillions events you’ll receive a ticket to a $30,000 All-in Shootout.

I guess we receive a ticket for both Shootouts if we play 10 events right?

Anyway, I'll try to play 10 events but I don't like rebuys, so this will limit my choices of events.

I think these MM's are a waste of time. Any event with so many players means you need a lot of luck to make some interesting money. Playing 3 hours and winning $1 is a waste of time imo.
Better to use your $1 a play a smaller tourney where you actually have a chance to win some decent money.

we play mtt's for FT's and wins, thats where the money is. Certainly if going to look at it from your viewpoint here then don't play any mtt's......all the mm events have thousands at the top, higher variance due to huge fields but higher reward if you get there being able to turn a small investment into huge rewards is what mtt's are all about in general.

I understand, and i general I surely agree with you, but 10k+ players is really way too much too it be realistic enough to even get to the FT (and thats where the real money is). There are enough of other regular MTT's which are still find interesting to play, where hunderds or maybe even a thousand players play, where you can still win a relative big reward, but I think these numbers are more realistic to have a chance to be on the FT.

I have just registered to Main Event via satelite. :) I suggest every1 to try the satelites. There will be a huge one at 19:52 CET where 1000 seats are GTD, only 3.3 dollars buy-in (turbo, freezout, no rebuy-addon).
