Many times when I search for freerolls in pokerstars I see The League and I'm curious, does anyone have experience or know what is this?

Sure, I can tell you all you want to know.... maybe. Okay, so I may be biased. But league play is awesome.

Well I searched google but I got confused. Is it like freerolls and how can I participate?

I followed a team while I was waiting to be picked up as a member and I learned a lot.

Eventually, I was chosen for a team mid-season. I had a lot of fun and I eventually became a captain.

It is not freerolls. The games are in play money on PokerStars, but the cash prizes are real for those that perform well.

You get rewarded at the end of the season for good play... 11 weeks. It is a lot of effort, but I would say it makes you a better player in the end. I have had a really good experience.

You told me that it was not a freeroll, so I went to pokerstars, searched for freerolls, and find The League Elementary. I thought that you needed a password but I just clicked and participated. You must be talking about a cardchat league.

Anyone know what Im talking about?

The league for pokerstars are multiple free rolls (I think 6/day) where you can enter, play with ALOT of donks and hope you can win your share of the $50 prize pool.

If you manage to earn some coin it is a representation of values points in this league. At the end of the league session ( I think one month) the top 1000 player move up to the next “league” as well as a share of some money.

Oh! Sorry, I didn't know Pokerstars had something also called the league. My bad.

So I can play all those freerolls whenever an elementary freeroll is up or is it somehow limited, like I can play just 5 freerolls a month or only if I deposit every month kind of freeroll?

.There are 4 levels or schools . The first is elementary which is is freeroll , everyone can play it , so you don't need a ticket . For the next 3 , High School , Universtity and Masters you need a ticket .


You can play 52 games , the 15 best will count for your score. (Every game also gives a 20 $ prize , only in elementary it's 10$) . The top 2000 players of elementary get a ticket for High School , top 800 of High school a ticket for University (the next 1200 remain in the category) , top 400 of University get a ticket for the Master's (the next 800 will keep their place in the scool ) and in the Masters the top 600 remain .

You can register to the pokerschool through the lobby (after the settings and tools it's the ''more'' option , so you check : more=>school ) . You go to https://www.pokerstarsschool.com , you fill your Pokerstars username and your password , then you choose your profile (up right corner where it says '' Welcome XXXXX (your player name ))and you see your position in the school you are for the time being .
Or if you want to see all leaderboards , choose from the top : ''The League '', then from the left : '' Leaderboards '' and search your School leaderboard to find your competitors or how much money each position wins (and you can find other leaderboards from other schools or other months of course ).To get prize money you need to have made at least one deposit in the past .

Very good explanation but with one correction - in the elementary it is not needed to have made a deposit before. It is just like every other freeroll except the fact that top 15% of players get points for the league leaderboard. For example if you have full elementary tournament (10000 players registered) top 1500 will get points for the league and top 90 will share 10$. Once i did that and got 0.01$ and i have not done any deposit. At the end of month there are prizes for those who are at the top places. Tournaments are every 4 hours between 5 and 30/31 date of each month and you can play maximum 52 tournaments during one month. Your score at the end of month is a sum of your 15 best results.

For me the league is a way to test new strategies for free and play as frequently as i want when i have free time. One day i hope to become better and get to the top places but it will take time.

This is a good tournament from the PokerStars school of poker where you can improve your playing skills and if it works out well, you can win money, in such tournaments you need to score as many points as possible so that you go to the league higher and the prizes will be greater, and so in such tournaments a prize of 10 dollars to 20 dollars, such freerolls as the elementary league take place every 4 hours, and if you go to the leagues above you will be given 52 tickets which you can also play every 4 hours!

it's a long-time poker champion that the star is organizing! and at the end of each month you manage and you are in a position boundary you win cash prizes and transitions to covert freeroll leagues

You can join poker school online through PokerStars. There they have a lot of information and also some courses and quizzes you can pass to get free tournament passes. Site is informative also

You must join the Pokerstars School first.
On the main Pokerstars lobby, select "More" on the bottom right menu
Then select "School" and register.

Then just start playing in the "Elementary League". There are six games per day and they are the light green ones in the main lobby.
The League - Elementary - $10 Added
The top 2000 points scorers at the end of the month, get promoted to the "The League - High School".

To advance to the University and Masters League you must have made at least one life time deposit.

You can also qualify for a higher level via the "Fast Pass" tournaments.

You can play up to 52 games per month, but only your best 15 count for points. You do not win much money playing each game, but some good money can be made if you score high in the monthly points. For example, the winner of the monthly Masters League, gets US$3,000.

Make a deposit $100USD min if you wish to withdraw . Join the Poker School and you will get a pass [ Seen in My Stars Tournament tickets ] under the League heading, just opt in . You have to Qualify for all but elementary by finishing in top ???? for the mth but you can easily qualify for Top league [ Masters ] for $5 in qualifiers last five days of mth . They take top 14 finishers and most times there isnt 14 players . Play these, only if you can play 52 tournaments in 25 days otherwise your in an uneven playing field . G/l

Anyone know if when I am eligible for a higher league if I get notification somehow or should I keep track of leaderboard by myself?

You can find yourself on the leaderboards here: https://www.pokerstarsschool.com/online-poker-league#leaderboard just search for your name and click it when it appears. If you make the top 1000 for the month you earn a spot in the next level.

Thanks for the tip about the 15% it helps when you know about the "points bubble" weather or not to play a hand. Much appreciated.
