Jason Somerville is going to be streaming from NJ from Monday on his twitch channel. As i understand it, anyone can play as long as they are in NJ. You don't have to be from NJ.

Exactly! At the moment it is a separate pool of players. You can play only from NJ and only with those who are in NJ.

Are you in NJ? I haven't received that pop up but am going to NJ this weekend and hope to play. From what I read it is definitely a separate player pool. Just people physically located in NJ with a US SSN can play.

Has anybody tried it out yet? Am mentioning this in my next CC blog and would like to get a comment from a CC member who has actually played it to get their thoughts on it. Just PM me if you have played on it and are willing to be quoted in a blog piece (I can either use your realname and CC ID or just your CC ID if you would prefer).

Thanks,

I am using pokerstars.com version client
if you are using pokerstar.net version client I think you could not receive this pop up.

Thanks,

I signed up and plan to play this weekend. I will PM you to tell you how it is if you haven't heard from anyone else by then. Nice $50 sign up bonus for a mere $20 deposit ($20 in 36 hours - received already, $20 in 7 days - hopefully will hit my account before I leave, a $10 Spin & Go ticket, and a end-of-the month $5,000 GTD ticket).

http://www.pokerstarsnj.com

Jason Somerville has been steaming for the last few days although traffic not very high about 1000 people max at the peak, although sure itll get more with more time and as people learn more about it. He did mention you dont have to be from New Jersey, just play from there.

Other day he with on with Jason Mercier and Chris Moneymaker, looks like the pros will be keeping their other pokerstars names when they are playing from canada and just adding NJ to the end of their pokertstars names when they are playing onthe NewJersey client

It has been great watching Jason Somerville play on twitch.tv. Traffic has been light, but with the big GTDs, I'm actually happy to have a small field this weekend for the smaller buy-in tourneys. It looks like there are about 2,000 signed up so far for Sunday's $25,000 Welcome to NJ Freeroll (it's paying down to 342 places at the moment) and about 400 for the end of the month $5,000 new depositor Freeroll.
