A thread for anyone to post relevant discussion, screenshots, results, etc. for pokerstars Golden Sit & Go's promotion.

Good luck to everyone and hopefully a few of you will be lucky enough to be apart of one!

I will try!

Just watched the ending of a Milestone game, $15 180 Player... First place went from the usual $700+ payout to over $8K, everyone received $265 Buy-In back... Gahhhh how nice that would be...

Still going, nice little triple up with some pocket 7's.
No time to crop right now, sorry.

shove more, i counted around 5-10 spots which we're literally ATC spots. When you get to 5BB or less, at a bare minimum shove 50% of hands. that will improve your results tremendously in the 180 mans. Blinding out is the worst thing you can do in these games, you need a big stack of chips, its about getting a stack to give yourself a shot at making it to the final 3 payout slots, they pay out in a top heavy structure, meaning anything less than 3rd is really a waste of time.

I will take that into consideration, I need some more work on my shove/fold ranges and that is obvious. I'll look into it and try to incorporate it a bit more in the 180 man structures. Hopefully I will see some better results, thanks!

Felt like I played tighter than I usually do in those games, probably just the fact it was a Golden, things always get to my head need to work on taking the emotion out of my game as well.

ya, you have to give yourself a shot at winning it, folding does not give you a chance at all.

Look at your bustout hand, wouldn't you rather shove the 89 with 5 BB earlier in the game when you had a 3k stack? if you get called by QQ it's essentially the same result, but when you win, you now have a 6k stack, awesome! And even if they call with something like ak/aq (more often than higher pairs) we stilll win around 35-40% of the time!

armed with that knowledge, shove more! profit more! glgl

I wonder how fast Pokerstars will get to that magical 900 Million? Yeah, I agree and we could have shoved with anything decent like JT, Ax etc with 5BB because it plays okay and we have a decent shot at doubling up. We don't have time to wait for AA with 5BB or anything premium. And especially in late position if the others are short stacks or know about shoving ranges etc, then shoving from let's say the CO or BU is a great idea. Picks up about 50% more chips with no showdown.

I am not sure what the Kill Phil strategy does at the micro's though. I must experiment soon.

I wish I saw any hand like Ax or JT, I was getting 3-7, 6-2, etc.

Maybe playing the opponent and shoving when you believe you have the most fold equity could have done it? The ATC 3-bet re-shove looks very strong and sensible people only call you with their premium hands.

Sad for being card dead, Pokerstars must have rigged it because they knew that you were too good for the field.

when you have under a 5bb stack 73o and 64o become shoves when in an unopened pot. You can certainly fold them, especially if you have a few more hands before the blinds hit you, but you should be shoving at a minimum 80% with 4 and under BB's. if you find yourself UTG with that stack, then shove 100%, it's better than letting the blinds hit you and being forced to fold BB and SB in an attempt to find a hand "worthy" of calling a shove/raise. if you have fold equity, use it!

if it helps, get pokerstove and punch in an 80% range to find out what hands are included. Basically, you just fold absolute garbage, and shove any high card, any connectors and any suited cards. simple.

so at least 50% for 5 bb's, and at least 80% for under 5 bb's. two simple ranges you can memorize and use in game to make you more profitable.

you have to shove this wide in the $2.50 games, they are filled with a lot of aggro regs, so you don't get many chance to open shove. When you do, take the initiative and the fold equity while you can.

Nice to see the special table.
Didn't know about that, not having had any of my own tables picked for it.
