Why do they even bother noting anything in the ET timezone anymore, they certainly don't cater to any 9-5 working individual in that timezone with these things they call givaway's and promotions ........ oh and we all thought that 30k in a 1k freeroll for the recent xmas freerolls was bad, these will be the same or worse I'd imagine.

Stars is just making me laugh these days, even many recreational players are going to see there is so little value in making a deposit each week just to gain access to these freerolls of little/no value.

I guess this is why I have seen people say that they are going to drop the 100k priv, so they can save themselves 40k a month more

I made a couple of missions thinking the tickets were going to have some value.

But a $500 freeroll with 20K+ players is ridiculous. Simply not worth it.

At least the 100K Privilege Freerolls had some value in them.

Nope top 1 only gets a ticket to the Weekly Giveaway where there are 50 Storm tickets.

Are those Giveaways to replace the Privilege Freerolls?

They are a joke. The payout structure is insane.

Other sites have better promos with reasonable payout structures at least.

Stars should have called them GetAWAY Freerolls. Cya. :wavey: :ciao:

Yea, this isn't giving the money away, this is to make sure that Pokerstars generates the most rake possible, and maybe even more so by luring in players who get the taste of real money winning nickels and dimes, it is a ploy that is only rewarding Pokerstars. There may be a .01% that this benefits player wise. Pokerstars keeps going down the wrong path to screw players.

I played the Hyper Turbo one. I finished 33 out of 9.5K+ players and won $1.00. Wooohoooo!

By the way they do not have breaks at all. Total disgrace from PokerStars.

These tourneys are so dull to play compared to the Privilege Freerolls. Waste of time.

I'll take the rest of my tickets and put em in the allin flips; and that will be all for me.

dont spend it al at once. :)
definitley not worth doing the chalenges for unless you are playing the games anyway and as for the games dont fancy playing for hours against 10K + players when top prize is only $50. Probably just reg for the allins :)

Who do you think will play in those freerolls?

1) Not the hi stake players
2) Not the reg grinders
3) Not the play money; freeroll only people (you need to do missions or deposit to get more then 2 tickets per month)
4) The recreational player? He will soon find that they are a waste of time.

But I guess there will be 9K+ Players in them all year long. So who are those people?

Well put post. I imagine you will get alot of regs playing these providing that the challenges fit in with their usual grind.

Any mtt challenges I will participate in since I will be playing those games anyway so I might as well click start on the challenge and stick my ticket in to the all in shootout game, maybe after a year I will probably earn a whole $5 which sucks but still better than nothing

This is all a marketing ploy. You ask who are all these players that play? They are mainly free money players and they are tempting to convert these players into real cash players once they get the taste of it. They are hoping they deposit after they blow their pennies they won.

I would agree with you but…

You need to make a deposit or do some missions to get many tickets for the freerolls.

So they are already real money players.

One other question I have is: What is Stars goal by putting a crazy payout structure like this?

The only good thing about this (monthly total) $60K Freeroll promo vs. the current (monthly total) $100K Freerolls in place is there is an option to use tickets for an online shootout for those of us that weren't interested in playing any of the games to begin with.

Those Giveaway freerolls are a complete joke.

Negreanu is always complaining about the payout structure being too top heavy. Then come on Mr. Negreanu; come and take a look at those to see if you like the structure.

Let's make this the new payout structure for the wsop and see what you have to say about it.

At least the 100k Privilege Freerolls had a decent payout structure.

Yes and they should also change the buy-in for the WSOP main event from 10k to $0 :)

I don't think it's PokerStars' goal for people to make a living out of playing freerolls.

So what you are saying is that since it is a freeroll; that we are not entitled to have a normal poker game and that Stars can basically treat us like trash right?

BTW CC freerolls have good payout structures and they are fun to play. But according to your freeroll rules; they could all be winner takes all and that would be just fine?
