I've got the MoneyGram square. They charge $10 per transfer, so I'll pass.

they are also doing a bonus code for moneygram deposits ........

Deposit Bonus up to $100!.

To celebrate the launch of MoneyGram, we are offering past Western Union users a special bonus to try MoneyGram. Deposit with MoneyGram, and enter the Bonus Code "MG25" in our Cashier, and we will give you a 25% bonus on your deposit, up to $100 (*). To receive the maximum bonus of $100, you must make a MoneyGram deposit of $400 or more.

To earn the 25% deposit bonus, a player must earn 10 Frequent Player Points (FPPs) per bonus dollar (example: to earn a $100 bonus you must earn 1000 FPPs). Only Base FPPs count toward releasing your bonus. This bonus offer begins Friday 23rd February at 14:00 ET and expires Friday 9th March at 23:59 ET. To receive your bonus, you must earn the required FPPs within 90 days of your bonus-earning deposit.

Hello ,

Thank you for your email.

The VISA Debit Card is a new deposit option that is currently being
introduced to a small subset of our players to ensure that there are no
major flaws or bugs. Unfortunately we cannot alter the groups as they are
system defined. It will eventually be rolled out to bigger groups as our
introduction continues.

Your patience is appreciated and thank-you for choosing pokerstars!

Regards,

Manfred

I've had the Visa option for a couple of months. It's how I deposit using my debit card.

Got one of these, works like a charm. The load fee for charging the prepaid card is .50 plus 4%, and it all loads instantly. Beats waiting weeks for your money to clear ePassaporte.

Here's what I know, that might help answer several questions:

MoneyGram: Flat $9.95 to deposit up to $2,500. If you think that is more expensive than Western Union, ePassporte, Visa Gift2Go, or the payTru card, you don't know what you're talking about. MoneyGram takes between 30 minutes and two hours to process at Stars. You cannot withdraw with MoneyGram. If you don't have the MoneyGram option, email the Stars cashier and they will activate it for you. There is no FPP requirement.

Stars payTru Visa: The only way to cash out is via ATM. And for that they will charge you a fee. Easy and convenient way to load, but it costs $100.50 to load $2,500. At $5 per $100 at ePassporte, well, you do the math. My understanding with the payTru card is that there is an FPP requirement. I thought it was 2,000, but apparently it is higher. I don't know for sure.

Cashing out: Paper check from Stars. Could take up to two weeks to clear in the United States. Money deposited via MoneyGram can be withdrawn to the payTru card. I verified this with Stars. The only requirement is that you must have made at least one deposit via payTru -- the amount doesn't matter. For a list of transaction fees for payTru, go to their Website. It's easy to find.

Visa Gift Cards & other Visa/MC debit cards: eMail the Stars cashier and they will send you a list of United States banks whose Visa/MC cards work on their site. One of them is the Fifth-Third Bank, for instance. Of all the Visa gift cards that Walgreens sells, the only one I have had success with is the Gift2Go cards. You can't cash back to them.

Cashing out is the tricky part they haven't fully worked out yet. ePassporte has fees to make EFT's back to your checking account, but apparently not nearly as much to transfer to Stars or FTP.

full tilt poker: My last cashout attempt with them took 30 days for a paper check. I will never do business with FTP again.

By the way, after you sign up for the payTru Visa account, that option disappears from the deposit options screen. So screenshots from other people may not be your best evidence.

I went ahead and gave the paytru prepaid visa card a try and it was pretty simple. I'm not used to the fees though, since neteller was always free. I think there was a $2.50 fee to load funds to the card, (a $25 deposit) plus there's a withdrawal fee. And don't use a real credit card to load anything because your credit card issuer will treat it as a cash advance.

Misch, the one you don't have is MoneyGram, I bet. You can get it added by emailing cashier1@pokerstars.com. For amounts over $150 or $200, it is the least expensive option for depositing on Stars for us Yanks.

Misch, Elvis is confused. In the originating message of this thread, is the second screen shot yours (you wrote "friends, mine and my brothers account")? You did have the Visa if that is yours. It disappears after you sign up.
