I like it, any promotion is better than no promotion and it's a good followup to the golden's and the bigger gtd to have something for the cash game players/grinders to qualify for.

I'v ko'd the cash game challenges so far, tempted by the 5$ spin n go's but through there are like 3 sets of 15, thats 225$ if you don't bink any....luckily I'm off to a great start....played 2 last night, 6x in the first and i binked it and 4x in the 2nd and i binked it :D.

With all these shootouts maybe I'll actually cash in one for a change lol, and of course these milestone hands got me an itch to play cash games.....I forsee more of the same from last night with grinding some 2nl deep tables.

Gl to everyone in the challenges, the milestone hands and the shootouts.

What an awesome site PokerStars is. ZOOM & BOOM looks too good to be true to be honest, wow.

you know what they say about something that sounds too good to be true, should get the two red AA's about ~1/112047 hands (if my math isn't off lol)

edit: Seems like a huge number but based on some math its what I got, just cause I was curious lol, yeah found an issue with my math already lol, it's more like ~1/10608 hands....little bit more reasonable especially given the hands you can put in on zoom

meh brain still think's it's wrong, blah i used to be good at mathz lol

Now I'm getting 1/21216 as had another small error. - wasn't an error, just brain second guessing itself.

final edit lol

Basically odds of pulling either the A of hearts or A of diamonds:
2/4 (suites) * 2/52 = 1/52

Odds of pulling either the A of hearts or A of diamonds when having already pulled one of them:
1/4 (suites) * 1/51 = 1/204

Odds of pulling both the A of hearts and the A of diamonds
1/52 * 1/204

So 1/10608......I'm sticking with this answer, shouldn't be doubting myself from what i got after I fixed the first issue with my formula lol.........I know we have some math wizes around so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually a small bit of logic goes a long way.

1) You get AA every 221 hands.
2) There are 6 combos of AA.
3) 6 * 221 = 1326 hands per one combo of Red Aces

well it is kinda obvious to asume it even without putting the math behind...
if we have 1326 possible hand combos in holdem and only one combo of red aces then the chances are 1:1325 to get red aces are once in every 1326 hands

are they paying to everyone who win with red aces????

This is the first thing that went through my mind, but just seemed too low that they would be shipping out 50$ every 1326 hands played, thus calced the probability of drawing the two red A's (which is where my math came from)........meh either way I won't hold my breath on looking to get two red A's lol

Looks like it, you probably have to get to postflop and then win it though

Well you still have to win a showdown and even get to the showdown (you need to get to the showdown right??) and have to know about it and post it on boom so it is probably lot lower than shooting fifties every 1,3k hands...
I guess that we can try to do a crazy calculation, based on how many hands is played on zoom a day to see how many red aces will get dealt but im pretty sure that it is too complicated for me :D

Looks like it, you probably have to get to postflop and then win it though

There's an excuse for me to play zoom on my phone :D
Knowing my luck i would more likely lost 50 bucks chasing red aces then actually winning :D Luckily i withdraw all the money from stars leaving just few bucks :D

Just had a thought on why my math was all f'd up lol, was obviously looking at a deck of 52 cards but also included the suit odds but thats already included in the 1/52....duh is me. But at least it clicked that my brain just simply wasn't working during my discussions and curiosity above.

1/26 * 1/51 = 1/1326 :D, dam do i feel stupid but at least saw where i went wrong (prb thinking more than I should have about it)

Yeah havn't looked at the details of having to get to postflop and such but i guess anyone who knows about it...especially at any limits <=10nl would prb limp, c, c, c and hope it holds up for the chance at 50$ lol

binked a 273$ milestone at 5NL

Very nice, I saw a 2nl deep table hit one the other night with some nice payouts....like 160 and 150 were the two biggest.

The milestones are certainly a nice boost to any br if the limit played and hit it on is the highest limit rolled for....and the promo does work as it has me wanting to grind cash tables lol

I was lucky to play 5Nl max at 100 billion milestone and won over 480 dollars because the final milestone hit at 5NL 6max. I was playing 24 tables :) Almost hit the big one . But still that was very lucky because there are so many stakes and types of games.

I am pretty sure you only need to win a hand after seeing flop. Obviously optimal is call preflop and shove flop (if they fold it still counts).

This promotions are good especially for players with a huge bankroll. The most acessible in this promotion is, in my opinion, the firts 4 missions but the tickets we win are not very suggestive: tournaments All-in Shootout? Really? It's pure, pure, pure luck. It's a tournament that does not depends of us. We don't play it!!! We just can see!!!
