I dont know. Not really sure what is causing your system to crash or throwing off you configuration.
But what I can help you with is saving the Pokerstars configuration so the next time it happens you can easily recover your settings.
Pokerstars saves the configuration to a file user.ini so what you can do is save a copy of this file to somewhere else on your syste like desktop, documents and then when configurations goes off use this file.
How to get to file - Easiest way is to use run program. Search for run program in start menu once run program is up type appdata then click on ok. This will take you to some folders most likely 3. Open folder named Local and then inside that folder there should be a folder named Pokerstars open that folder. In that folder you will see the user.ini file.
Copy the file user.ini and paste it somewhere like documents or desktop. This has all you Pokerstars settings that you currently have.
When the problem occurs take copy of that file and put it back in that location where you copied from earlier. This will restore your settings to previous state.
Alternative - Since you are using Win7 or above there is feature called Previous Versions on files that may help as well. When the problem happens again go to the userini file in appdata location right click it and hit on properties. Last tab should be Previous Versions try and restore the file to previous version.
As I said earlier I do not know what is causing your issue maybe you can take it to a local expert and have it looked if your system keeps crashing regularly. Also the configuration should not be off because of power loss.
Maybe you can try Windows Updates this sometimes helps there maybe a patch or fix that can solve problems.
I have w10, could it be related?
