So I was unable to create an account at pokerstars.com because of I'm assuming my United States location. So I was directed to get the Pokerstars.net version and I have created an account there.

This is strictly Fun Play Money though. Does the .net version have any interaction whatsoever with CC freerolls or even the League Play?

Thanks.

EDIT: Ok so I created an account using the "play money" pokerstars.net version. Then I downloaded the "real money" pokerstars.com version and installed it. And.... hrmmm.. I was able to log into the "real money" version with my "play money" Login/Password. So I guess I'm now using the "real version"? Hrmmm..... :)

Ok, now I'm getting somewhere. I am logged into Pokerstars and found the Cardschat $100 Daily Freeroll for today at 3:00pm ET. Guess I'm just waiting for the password now? :)

PokerStars.com and PokerStars.net interconnected. My account was automatically migrated a long time ago. Did you manage to take part in the Cardschat $100 Daily Freeroll tournament ?

No. I got the password 3 minutes before the tourney started and then it said I wasn't allowed to play in my "area". So I reconfigured my VPN to show I was from the netherlands and logged back in (I guess because I already said I was from United States it was stored) and then it tried to start asking me for my Phone number, Address etcetera so I just logged out and then went to sleep. I knew I was skipping the BOL Jackpot freeroll and some intertops freerolls but oh well. I am going to focus on todays freerolls (Friday 27th) at BOL (the 60k and 40k feeders) and maybe even an Intertops in about 3 hours from now.

So NO, I wasn't able to join the Pokerstars CardsChat $100 Daily Freeroll tournament (which means I won't be able to participate in any Pokerstars CC Freerolls).

You couldn't fool PokerStars. To use VPN is a good attempt. But do not despair, there are many other tournaments. The PokerStars are too cunning.

You will be able to play in the Cardschat League. It's run from the Pokerstars Home games. Also many of the Cardschat special events are also run from the Home Games. The prize money in these events, is paid by Cardschat.

Good luck.

I don't recommend Pokerstars. Any time you fall below $10 in your account, any game you play will be disconnected several times. I guess they figure it'll put you on tilt and then you'll deposit more money. I recorded them doing this while showing three other devices on other sites simultaneously without any connectivity issues. I told pokerstars I'm sending all the videos to the BBB and gaming commission.

I'd hesitate using a VPN at any time with PokerStars (although it appears to be of little use for you at this point) as they regularly ban members who attempt to use them.

Hopefully more options will open up for US players in the future and it would be a shame not to take full advantage due to having an infraction of terms of use in your history.

You can only participate in pokerstars home games, such as leagues and some special events. However, there are poker rooms where you can play from the USA, where cardschat also offers freerolls, such as SportsBetting.

I have my account on PS quite a while ago, it was always on the .com version .. one regret not being able to play other tournaments there. I live in Brazil and do not enter the cardschat tournaments on BOL and SB because it is not available in my "area" .. Gl on homegames!
