Doug polk and jungleman podcast discuss bots on stars, what do you guys think?
If it's true I'm not going to be happy having played on stars for 13 years, I have had alot of unbelievable bad beats and whenever I questioned stars integrity I was told I would be banned from the site. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/3yC710q2ohA

Not sure about pokerstars but I would assume so ! I do know the dark sites we can play on from the USA are full of Bots. Bots along with some of the tracking software out have driven me back to 99% live play thein the last 4 years. Plus the new bots are really good !!!

beat the robots is an interesting thought, maybe they should have robot players as well as humans, like chess.

They have the strongest security. Of course some players use different programs to win . Including bots . As far as I know . Recently, to avoid the attention of security services, they use a second computer or laptop . So draw your own conclusions !

Yeah that's a good point, but also the ip address would be the same unless using a vpn?

Apparently they bypass stars security which seems a reasonable thought.

It's difficult to believe a site that earns so much cash like stars would jeopardise their reputation but I don't disbelieve it. The idea seems more realistic as I think about it

Usually on another computer or laptop is a bot that receives information and gives advice on how to continue the game . Other programs are also used . Of course I don't know the ins and outs .

The truth I have come to think about it and with the technology as advanced as this would be nothing difficult for programmers make these traps, although I share the idea that it is difficult to believe that Pokerstars, a room with an immense reputation makes use of that, I do not know, I will continue with the doubt until it has really proven this, hahahaha meanwhile we will continue playing, it is great then to beat the bots hahahahaha.

Bots are, but they are fighting, but how successfully is unknown. These are the sad modern realities of poker.

I will be devastated if I ever found out my bad beats were due to bot assistance.

I understand that the poker rooms that are licensed and / or with certifications that show the absence of BOTS and rare algorithms that give luck to players with higher STACK are counted, does anyone know where this list can be found?

There are bots. Most importantly, they know when to go all in. I was given a couple of kings. On the flop, one more king formed a set. But he has QJ, respectively, street.

It’s actually hard for people to use bots, because the poker stars software is hacking software, that the house can use to scan your drives for bots, watch your monitor, and log your keyboard. Most of your bad beats may have been hands that you played out of position and that’s why it turned into a trap. Americas Cardroom for example will give me a hand to trap me with close to 100% anytime I check a hand in the big blind, to take me out of the game. Moreover, most experienced players are using management software such as PokerTacker4, which will record your stats and show what hand you mucked. The house simply has their favorite players that they assign winning accounts to and guys that they assign losing accounts to.

I read in the past (years ago) about some russian bots or illegal programms running in high stakes PLO and winning big money , the PS security caught them and shared their loot . Nothing else .

PS , 888poker , partypoker and many great rooms have very strict security , manytimes annoyingly strict security (but it's for our safe/good :)), when they contact/bother you while trying to investigate for anything they think it might be abnormal (programm or log in location , etc). Their rooms are safe of bots , I firmly believe it .

For the smallest rooms I have heard stories and read one thread here on CC . But even there if there are bots in some small poker rooms , at your table , if you play your A-game , you'll win them and laugh big time with their losses with their fearless bets-bluffs-all ins , as long as you play very good poker , be tricky with them and luck will be on your side :)

One story for fun :)Once I beat one very good player HU on a micro tournament on a small poker room , he was playing/betting perfectly on the FT , like a bot :p (well that's another story , we call sb a bot when he plays awesome poker in comparison to everyone's on the table , hatefull biased comment;) ) . Finally we were HU , I raised AJs , he reraised the right amount ( I was anxious with his betting behavour untill then , plus card dead and bluffs not successful , and felt pressure ) , went all in like I shouldn't, cracked his AA and won the tournament :eviltonguUnlucky bot :D If he actually wasn't the bot , he might had thought I was the stupid lucky bot for real :D :D:D -BBB- , Bad Beat Bot :D:D:D

Back to the thread topic :) Bet-raise-play right , Be tricky , artful , sly , fearless in good spots against whoever you think is bot and with good luck you will be the winner :star::icon_fara:star:
