Don't make a new account, against the site's rules.

If you've never deposited before and the bonus is for a first time deposit, yes, you can use the bonus code.

Pokerstars does not allow players to have more than one account. I don't know how strictly they enforce it, but technically it's grounds to close both accounts. I would think they would frown on creating a second account just to be able to skirt the rules to obtain free money.

I assume the bonus you're referring to is the first deposit bonus (they occasionally offer other bonuses). If you've never deposited before, and deposit now, that would be your first deposit and would be eligible for the bonus. If you have deposited before, it wouldn't qualify for the bonus.

If you're referring to a different bonus, just check the terms for that bonus.

sigh, I hate to sound like a mom, but kinda feel obligated - not just for CopyCat, but for anyone else who might read this...

The security groups at the poker sites monitor certain kinds of activity related to accounts - if they see something questionable, they will ask for proof of identity and temporarily freeze an account while they're verifying identity.

I played a bit at my local poker room a few times last year - an IP address check linked my account to other accounts that were being used at that same poker room. My account was frozen for a couple of days while I verified my identity and answered questions about my relationship to the other accounts (one of which I learned later had been chip dumping, which prompted the freeze). Inconvenient for me, but no big deal - but I could not withdraw funds while the investigation was ongoing.

So, if you plan on playing long term and withdrawing funds, hope you're planning to get married, since she may need to prove her identity at some point in time in order to withdraw.

Or, sign up at a different site for their bonus ftw rather than committing fraud imo.

I have a premonition of his gf making their 1st post in the near future about how Pokerstars froze her account for no reason.

Its allright mate i will send an email to pokerstars asking if two people from the same house are allowed to own ther own accounts.Im pretty sure that aint fraud, playing in the same poker room as her might constitute grounds for suspicion. As this wont be happening i dont see a problem at all.a friend telling a friend about a promotion that needs to be utilised.
She hasnt made a first deposit,Theres a first time for everything...Thanks for your help guys....well kinda?????

Poker Stars will allow another account from the same house, but like Slycbnew said anyslight mistake you and your gf make WILL be picked up by Stars security, and your account will get frozen until full ID is sent to them.

Don't forget to also claim the refer a friend bonus.

I did the two account thing to get a referal bonus. They will freeze your account! It took some smooth talking but I cleared both accounts and got my referral bonus. Both accounts still work and sometimes I swap funds just to play under a different name.
