It's part of the Action Poker Network, which includes Tiger and Action. The traffic is very light there and the interface sucks, but if I'm not mistaken the site is a mainland site physically based in canada--and, unlike the other Canadian site, bodog, doesn't limit itself to U.S. residents. Most of the players I've encountered there are Canadian residents.

They have some strange rules that seem intended to scare away small-funds players. For example, they have $12+$1 SNGs, which is a bargain in terms of entry fee, but then they have $1.50+25c tourneys, which at 16.7% is an entry fee ripoff. Also, to clear the deposit bonus you have to have minimum 20-cent ring rake amounts and pay a minimum of $1 in entry fees per tournament. I think they're discouraging the fat part of the online poker market from signing up with them.

It doesn't help much that a lot of the juicier tourneys get cancelled for lack of a quorum. I played there a bit but have cashed out and am simply going to wait for my issue with Stars to get resolved.

For a canadian site it sure doesn't sound too Canadian friendly. :)

It is just Canadians that cannot play there, Americans, British etc all can

Thanks for the correction. I find Bodog's restriction on Canadian residents perverse. It's like the owner didn't take his medication this morning.
