Hello,
Does anyone know of a Poker tech forum where you can discuss different poker clients and software?
I am a little tired now that we visually impaired people cant play for real on the Internet and none of the poker sites i have been trying out and writing to hasn't shown any interest. Maybe someone who is a programmer and a poker player could help. Many thanks!

Hello,
Unfortunatly, no screen reader works with the poker clients out there at this time. like I have written in another thread we need text and most poker clients use animations. However, there are a few who show the cards in text, but those clients don't feature keyboard shortcuts.

Haven't run across anything yet Chris, haven't really been looking though as my daughter is a little young for poker yet, but if I happen across anything that looks useful I will PM you. Good Luck.

I have found something which may help

http://www.onlinepokerfaq.com/guide/mouseless-poker.html

This explains how you can set up keyboard shortcuts that will move the mouse to a specific location on the screen and click it. IE you can have a keyboard shortcut to perform any mouse click like 'take seat', 'raise', 'call', 'check', 'fold' etc etc

I believe that they already have the code listed for several sites, and obviously if you have a prefered site which is best for your text reader, then this code can easily be tweaked to fit with that poker site. There is also something which you can download to "record" your mouse movement for a particular site and define it to a keyboard shortcut.

Good Luck,

See you at the tables soon I hope :)
