They dont just do that without a reason, maybe if you post the whole story and any e-mails that they sent you someone may be able to help.

Why does you friend owe $130.00, and to who does he owe it.

I'm guessing his eCheck bounced.

Has this person played on the same computer as you? If he has, they'll probably have a record of it and assume you two are linked in some way.

Has he sent money to you?

If you know that 20 people in your town are on PokerStars that just seems fishy to me. If they suspect any of you of multi-accounting don't expect to get your money back.

Wow that sucks, very unfortunate. I think Savage Penguin has a lot of point, you should really read his post and make sure non of those things happened. Well GL with your situation and hopefully all gets solved. :)

I know all 20 sum odd players becaus its a small town i know every one in town, theres about 8 of us that opened our accounts from my home, at the time i was the only one with internet out of the 8 of us, and yes we routinly transfered money betweeen us, the email from pokerstars said that i was too closely linked to another player that owes money, yup same isp adress, he is one of my neigbors, i share my internet with 4 neighbors. I suppose they expect us of multi acounting but were not , and i have explained that to pokerstars and i also have refered every player from my town to their site. This happened to a neighboring community aswell because the actions of one player the whole town got cut off, that too was a small community.

Your only chance is to talk to Poker Stars support. Ask them politely if there's anything you can do to convince them of your side of the story.

If what your saying is 100% true and I dont know if it is, then why dont you and your other 18 buddies force this one chump to cough up the cheddar.. seems easy enough to me.. Its only 150 bucks or so right? Nothing a ass whooping cant fix imo.. Doubt it would even need to come to that. Like i said this is only if what your saying is completely correct.

If you had 8 accounts setup from your home, with money being exchanged between each, that will set off all sorts of bells and whistles. If I was Pokerstars I wouldn't trust you.

I think your best chance is to explain the situation as politely as possible, and include a JPG (photo) of a utility bill that shows your name and address. If possible include a similar utility bill photo for the thief who has stolen $130 from Pokerstars. That way they know that you two are indeed different people and not just one scammer who is multi-accounting.

8 accounts from 1 ISP address of course they are going to think you are all the one person multi accounting.

Good luck with that.

I'm not gonna doubt you, but it really does sound like there's more to it. Do you have your own computer or do you play on a public computer, like a coffee house or library or something like that? As said before, you gotta plead your case and kiss the ring of the Pokerstars king and hope for the best. Then you might consider the ass whipping.

me, my 2 brothers, my father and my girlffriend have made accounts from same ip, we have exchanged money tons of time, pokerstars never sayd i word.

tho, before hand i send a mail to them, explaining them the situation, that we have only 1 ip address and we would all like to play, they send an email back, told me that they noted there are more than 1 person, and everything will be
ok as long as we don't try to play at the same time, the same stg or the same cash tables. meanwhile, from the 5 of us only i play and my little bro occasionally.

If playing on PS means that much you just may have to pay the money yourself. Maybe everyone in town can chip in $10 each and that will take care of it. If this is not possible then I guess you have to find a new poker room. GL

Look at it from there piont of view. Would you trust the other 7 accounts from the same computer if one of them owned you money?

I?

If you know that 20 people in your town are on PokerStars that just seems fishy to me..

Really???? This doesn't sound fishy to me at all. I live in a town of ~8,000 people & could tell you dozens of players on Fulltilt & Pokerstars. I can't imagine what I'd know if I lived in a town of 400....
Where I live there's a TON of player-to-player transfers (that's how most of us deposit/withdrawl). When you go to local poker games in a small town, you tend to know what's up in the poker circle (in my area anyways).

Sounds really unfortunate & unfair for you OP. Maybe Stars support can work it out with you? (if not..... get on Fulltilt).
