I have been grinding 10-12 tables for 5 weeks now. I never have paid attention to poker stars vip stuff, mainly cause I played at tilt before BF and played MTT/STT, and not that much volume. Now I am Silver star and have 3500 vip points. I just looked and can redeem them for 40$. I got a mail from PS saying my point will be reset but I dont need to redeem before they are reset. Is there any reason to wait and have more points or should I just redeem my money now?

I also got this mail (see below) I was wondering what anyones opinion is on the tourney offered. Donk fests or worth doing?

- 1.5 FPP Multiplier - you now earn 1.5 FPPs per VPP
- SilverStar VIP Store access - choose from new and exclusive merchandise in the SilverStar store
- USD 50 VIP Reward Bonus - now available in the VIP Store for 4,500 FPPs
- USD 500 Daily VIP tourneys - 3 x a day - 10 FPP buy-in
- USD 30,000 Weekly VIP tourneys - Saturdays at 14:30 ET - 100 FPP buy-in
- USD 100,000 Monthly VIP tourney - last Saturday of each month at 15:00 ET - 130 FPP satellites available

Each stellar reward costs 1 FPP. The bonus's are the ones that cost points.

If you earn another 1500 VPP points (stellar points) you will get a $50.00 on top of what you currently can get, which is worth it if you think you can earn 1500 between now and the new year!

As for the tournaments,

The only one I could bother with here is the 30k weekly tournament with a buy-in of 100fpp. Very good value for money, I've played it twice and cashed for $10.00 each time.

Also the 100k one is good but to qualify for it because of your VIP status you have to try via satty to win your seat. If you win your seat though, it's quite a good value for money tournament too!

I think you are talking about the Stellar rewards, awarded when you reach a $10 milestone every 750 VPPs...you have reached 3500 VPPs so you can redeem four $10 Stellar rewards. There is absolutely no point waiting to buy these. Just buy them as you unlock them.

Consider that the Stellar reward you receive when you reach 5000 yearly VPPs is $50, so its worth trying to reach 5000 VPPs by the end of the year.

The FPP cash rewards (a separate reward bought with FPPs, which you should also have quite a few of now) are worth saving up for cos the larger ones are better value and FPPs don't reset at the end of the year :)

Micromachine is on point here. When you unlock a VIP Stellar Reward, there's no benefit to waiting to unlock it as it doesn't hinder future VIP Stellar Reward purchases.

There is, however, a significant jump from 4,000 yearly VPPs to 5,000 VPPs. At 4,000 VPPs you unlock a 10$ Stellar Reward, at 5,000 VPPs it's a $50 Stellar Reward.
