Poker stars still tricky

made a good living £2000- 3000 a week some 10 years ago now for nearly three years , now cant make a penny, have all the skills but beats in all major heads up action, anyone getting the same

I have been playing on poker stars for at least ten years now and I have never made very much with it. It is a great form of entertainment for me though !
They make it hard for most people to make any type of money , if you win with crappy cards - then it was luck , if you play monster hands - you still have the chance of losing to someone's crap hand.
It is gambling pure and simple.

yes actually is not easy as the past to make money in poker rooms but this story seems to be false,because anyone is absurd that a guy that earned more that a K can't make a penny today.

You need to trust in your skills and can be bad variance in your side. Things aren't easy.

if you do not win in the long run. it means that you make too much mistake and that you have to correct them. We must not forget that the level of the players is in perpetual evolution. Now everyone can improve their game more easily because all the information on poker is more accessible than it is some years.

Are streaks, you had a good years. But I find it hard to believe that someone wins a fortune before and now can not win anything. These making too many mistakes and playing lousy, besides having a bad run

The sheer number of players today negates any skill we think we have. I try to play the same hours at the usual tables hoping to find familiar players but it's no use. I noticed there are more ruskies today than 8-10 years ago. I'm not sure though, maybe it's just me.

Whenever there is an opportunity to make easy money, it tend to not last. More people in countries like Russia and brasil have discovered online poker as an alternative to low paying jobs, recreational players have to some degree lost interest, and way more software and training material exist today for players to get better. It also does not help, that government intervention has forced sites like pokerstars out of a lot of markets including US, and led to segregation of player pools.
