So, I was getting a decent volume in, and this week some personal stuff kept me off the tables. I play 10nl, and play too nitty to generate a ton of rake. I play about 3K hands a day, but think I will need about 10-12K to get the 500+ FPP with my 18/15 stats.

I need the points by March 31st. Does anyone know exactly what this means? Till midnight, and if yes, by which time zone?

And if I miss, do I start from scratch or how does that work?

Thanks

It means you need to earn 520 VPP's, not FPP's. (FPP = Frequent player points, which are used to buy-in to tournaments + buy stuff from VIP store)

What status are you at the minute? It's done by Eastern Time zone so you get an extra few hours to achieve the goal being from germany.

If you miss, you will stay at silver star.. I'm curently at silver star, I need to earn 750vpp's by the same date/time but I'm not going to achieve it.

The only benefits you will miss is that next month you will earn at the silver rate of 1.5 fpp's for EACH VPP you earn. Earning gold star would earn you 2fpp's for each 1 vpp. You also miss out on the $100,000 freeroll at the end of each month, this is for goldstar +. You can enter this tournament though via a satty if you are silverstar with a buyin of roughly 150fpp's I think.

I think this freeroll is the biggest benefit of achieving the goldstar if you just make it.

So say you earn on average 2000vpps per month, you would of earned 4000 fpp's for being gold star. If you stay at silver star, you will earn just 3000. 1000 fpp's is handy, but not significant enough to challenge youself getting it. In effect via sattys/tournament tickets it works out maybe at $10.00 for the extra 1000 fpps. The only time I personally believe gold star becomes significant is if you're earning more like 5000,vpp's(10,000 fpps) on an avg month.

All pokerstars times are in ET. Bonuses and time endings are all in ET so you have to get your VPP's by 31/03/12 23:59:59 ET, If you don't you'll be silver star next month instead.

It's not really worth putting in a massive grind to get it imo.

Say you earn average 2500 VPP/month, if you are silver you get 3750 FPP, if you are gold you get 5000 FPP, so a difference of 1250 FPP, which is equal to roughly $12-$15.

If you grind too much to get it you could easily end up playing bad and losing more than that.

I saw u a few times at my tables recently btw!
