My colleagues in the financial security team within pokerstars have asked that I highlight PokerStars' position on Escrow service and Side Bets:
PokerStars is not acting as a financial institution, payment solution provider or a money transferring service. It is against PokerStars' Terms of Service to use our system for Escrow services and Side Bets.
PokerStars real money Transfer system is not to be used as an Escrow service for side bets of any kind. All funds transferred may be used for game play only and not for any other purpose.
If you want to transfer money to and from accounts for the purposes of playing poker (eg, staking) then that is permitted. However, three way transactions to establish escrow accounts is not permitted. If you want to take part in such transactions, you will need to transfer the money to each other outside of PokerStars.
I hope that this clarifies our rules, and will allow you to have your transactions processed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
