Poker School Online

I know a lot of you, if not most of you play at pokerstars but I am wondering if any of you are aware of Poker School Online.
It is yet another free service that Stars offers to its subscribers for those that are not familiar with it.
It has prerecorded and live training session by pro players at no charge with a large archive of training videos to start with.
It is accessible through a link at The Poker Star site or through the main lobby after you sign in at the top of the lobby.
There is also a monthly league with leaderboard prizes that are substantial for top 10 in both the Open and Premier leagues if you have enough FPP's (frequent player points)
This year they have added two new leaserboards; one for a shooter factor and one for a trickiness factor. The explanation is on the site and it adds a interesting twist to the game.

Yep, i'm on poker school online.
I m playing this month on the open league, last month have played just 5 or 6 tournament on premier league and have been relegated.
I m playing like 3 or 4 tournament a day to go into the top 10 and get a nice prize.

For the treakness leaderboard, very nice n°1 place
Just continue like that over the month.

I did play in some of these a few months back. Had finished in the top 100 for the "trickiness" leaderboard for the month of february and pokerschoolonline awarded me with 5 bucks, haven't played much since.
One has to be consistent and play regularly for a month to win some cash in these leagues.

On the trickiness leaderboard I could probably not play another game for the rest of the month and get either $7.50 or at least $5.00 which will keep me in micro business for the rest of the month.
As far as the actual league goes it is hard to get more than $10 and for that you have to play 3-4 games a day and have 20 player points.
The shooter and trickiness leaderboards only require you to play 5 games so a lot less of a commitment.
If you haven't signed up to participate in those zarzar you should. It is a seperate signup and you can locate it in the site somehow. I can't remember exactly how so you would have to search it out.
If someone else is reading and interested that does not have Pokerstars remember to sign up through the links here at Cardschat.

Ok I am not aware of this shooter and trickiness leaderboards I play the Leagues every month but what is these other two

It just started this year and it is an extra way to win some extra money.
There are two additional leaderboards one for the shooter factor and one for a trickiness factor.
To find out more go to the pokerschool online page, click on league rank at the top right corner and the league rankings will come up.
From there click on stats leaderboard and then click on promotion details and there will be an explanation as to what it is about and how to participate. You need to opt in through your profile page and a link for this will come up in the promotion details to your profile page.
I know that this is a long rather complicated explanation. I could have given you a link but they do have a forum and I wouldn't want to break any rules here even though this is a Pokerstars site.

I used to write a blog on that site back when U.S. players could play. See if you can find the blog from Teepack! I just tried to log into the site now but it's been so long I can't remember my password.

I don't know if when i'm playing on those 2 leaderbords, this will affect my keague standings, cause i will not play too much hands on Open league and i will be hyper passive ?

Not only these , pokerschoolonline has many other promotions. Players who hasn't made their first deposit yet, can participate in the bankroll builder promotion which offers 8$. u have to pass quizes and do some other things. Moderators will guide u through the whole process.

Also, if u pass the MTT quiz , they will award u with 5 schollpass tickets which can be used to buy in various tourneys.

One of the latest features is "Scratch & Match". U will be given 7 scratch cards for the week. U just have to scratch the card, and if u hit 3 of a kind u will be awarded with that thing. the prizes include FPP (frequently player point which can be used to buy in satellites, buy items from VIP store, buy in on VIP freerolls) , MTT tickets, SnG tickets, monthly freeroll tickets

Oh another thing, if u can finish in top 400 in three consecutive pokerschool open school league games, u will be awarded a free entry to the Big Bang tourney in the next month, which is a 11$ buy in 5K guaranteed tourney. 3 consecutive games doesn't mean 3 games in a row . It means the last 3 games u played

For the 8$ bankroll builder, it's for poker newbies that never play poker to understand the bankroll management and learn the poker discipline.
For the scratch and much, have scratched more than 300 times and won 10 fpp ....
For the Big bang tournament " guarateed 5k", you have to get 3 consecutives games and it's not the 3 last tournaments you have played : i have almost got this ticket every month.
Even onlinepokerscool is a great pokerstars sites that allow you to make some money.

Played both open and premier league. Im very disappointed of them and of pokerstars in general. Beats are much to many and i never managed to be a big stack in one tournament at least. You have to stay short and drag yourself slowly to move up on the pay ladder. Its the only way you can win.

In open league i was second with four days before the end of the month and had the illusion that i can make top 3 and win some. Keep dreaming! Cause the russians always win. Soft killed me next 10 tournaments and i was down on 15-th place. Spat on that and closed my account after one year with tons of beats every single day.

Premier league a little better than open, but not much. Maniacs, retards, gamblers, russians beat you every day. That is stars: does not matter what you play, you win only when the soft lets you, mostly never.

Those are very impressive stats Zarzar. I would be embarassed to print mine with my lifetime earnings of $6.
You are right about the big bang. That is what I meant to say but I obviously worded it wrong.
I know who to avoid at Pokerstars when it comes to getting involved in a pot.
I have only made it to the Big Bang once, the past week, but did cash for around $50, so all my time at PSO wasn't a total waste.

99% of my earnings come from the premier league leaderboard, it's reallty a nice competetion over the month, you have to be patient and to play hyper tight ( tight passive ) in the begining of the tournament , after 1h30 of play you should change the syle to be tight agressive when you are in positive points.

I did get to the premier league once. I usually have less than the 20 vpp's to qualify but the one time I did have over 20 I came in around 700 in the open league but I guess that was good enough to be in the top 500 that had enough points.
Two of my $6 was from that. The games are simply not convenient for me. I don't like to get up for the morning games 5:00 and 8:00 EST and the 8:00 at night game is the time I spend with my wife watching TV which leaves 1 game a day. I only played four games, all in the money, but that is not enough to place in top 20 in that league.
I think that the competition is very strong in the premier but since I am a long way off from having the 150VPP's it is tough to get excited about and I also like the shooter side game in the open league and the chance to get in the Big Bang.

Yep for the open league , it s a marathon in the beggining , you to play 5 or 6 games per day to get more points and be in the top 20 then play for the top in the last few days , but You should try to get 150 VPP, it's not so hard; it's like playing 140 1$ tournament over the month ( 30$ rake ), in fact the stucture of the paiement in the premier league is so nice that you will get for playing just a few tournaments some money : 20 $from the position 500 for 1500 players ( around 1590 points ), then from position 80 ( around 1780 points ) you will get 50 $ then the top 20 130$+ for getting more than an average of 1880 points.

They have some great promotions at pokerschool... I feel sorry i did not know for this before i created my pokestars acc...btw i jus love scratch and match

Not sure about the Scratch and match. All i have won is 10FPP and some monthly tickets in the month or so it's been going
